It was the biggest game yet. It wasn't as important as the superbowl, but to Chris's team, it was crucial for them to win tonight. Chris just hoped Sebastian was watching at home, cheering him on with the rest of Chris's family.

Everything seems to go in a flash. Tonight was much more difficult than any game the team had played so far, both teams hungry for the win. The cheers from supporters for both teams were loud, bellowing throughout the air. If anything, the sound made Chris more nervous than he already was.

Matthew was on the bench for missing practice all those weeks ago, whilst Max and Liam were close by, watching, waiting. And when the timer sounds for the end of the game, Chris almost drops to the grass in exhaustion. They had won. Again.

Everyone was screaming, the rest of his team running towards him, tackling him to the ground in a pile of glee and laughter. Coach Myers was watching the interaction with a proud smile, clapping. The locker room was just as loud, everyone clapping Chris on the back and high fiving one another.

Dinner is a rush, scoffing food down and ignoring Matthew and Liam's fond gazes at one another and shared kisses. In all honesty, the sight makes Chris miss Sebastian. From lectures and football games, Chris had been incredibly busy. They could barely facetime, call or text. It was painful. Chris just hoped Sebastian didn't think he was growing away from him.

It was nice to see Matthew and Liam happy together, they were a great pair. The football team were amazing when they decided to tell them, teasing each other and clapping them on the back. Being around supportive people was the best thing for them, and Chris was glad everyone they surrounded themselves with was exactly that.

Entering the dorm, Chris all but faceplants onto his bed, nuzzling into his pillow, desperate for some sleep. His shoulders ached, as did his legs and arms. He could really use one of Sebastian's massages right now, he hadn't had one since last year after one of his football games.

Speaking of Sebastian, Chris's phone begins to ring, the contact name of his boyfriend appearing. Tiredly, Chris answers, pressing the device to his ear. "Hey, pup."

"Hey, C." Sebastian sounds as exhausted as Chris, voice cracking slightly. "Congrats on the win tonight, I watched."

Smiling, Chris rubs his eyes. "Thanks, Seb. How are you?"

"I.. I'm okay, yeah.. Okay.. how.. How are you?"

"Tired," Says Chris, yawning. "I'm sorry to be rude, but is it okay if we call tomorrow? I desperately need some sleep."

"Oh.." Sebastian pauses for a few moments, clearing his throat. "Okay, um goodnight."

"Good night."

"I love you-"

The call cuts out with the slip of Chris's thumb, and he sighs. Sebastian will know he didn't mean to hang up. Eyes heavy, Chris plugs in his phone and changes into his pjs, clambering under the covers.

More often than not, their calls ended that way. Chris usually texted an apology, but he was far too tired to send one.  The constant games and practices were leaving him tired, sore and irritated. Sebastian knew that. Surely.

In the morning, Chris is awoken to Liam laughing loudly in the kitchen with Max, Matthew still fast asleep in bed. Groaning, Chris rolls out of bed, slumping into the kitchen and stealing one of the cups of coffee.

"Morning," He mumbles, sipping away.

Liam and Max smile. "Morning, Chris."

"I heard you on the phone with Seb last night," Says Max, following Chris back to their allocated beds. "He didn't sound too good, was he okay?"
