"Ughhh." Liam groans out, leaning back against his chair and sounding loud crack like sounds through the air. "Practice was so long, Jesus."

Everyone around the table scrunches their noses in disgust, while Chris just shrugs at the look of confusion coming from his friends. After all, he was used to it. "What?" Chris asks.

"How are you not grossed out by that?" Matthew asks, setting down his fork. "I hate it."

Chris chuckles. "Well, one of my friends has some problems with their back and cracks it all the time to help with the pain." He responds.

Small "ohhh's," of understanding go around the table, then one of their new friends, Mark, drops his phone onto the table with a groan.

"You good?" Max asks, spooning some rice into his mouth.

Mark shrugs. "My girlfriends growling at me for something stupid."

Chris rolls his eyes, shaking his head. Yeah right. You probably did something. Max does the same, placing down his utensils. "You did something, didn't you?"

"I don't know! She won't tell me!" Mark exclaims.

"Your in the shit then."

"Fuck you."

"So, Chris." Liam interrupts, breaking up Max and Marks argument. "You got a girlfriend?"

Chris sighs, having to hold himself back from correcting him. "Yeah, something like that."

Max gives Liam a look, but he doesn't listen, clearing his throat. "Well, what's her name?" He asks.

"Sorry, can't say." Chris says lamely, shrugging.

"Fine then, the first letter of her name?"

Chris rolls his eyes. "S."

"What's with the bitter face?" Mark asks, Max cutting in before Chris bit someone's head off.

"He's just tired."

Sebastian sighs softly as he washes the dishes, face contorted into one of boredom and sadness. Though it was his least favourite chore, it was the least he could do for Lisa considering she invited him over for dinner.

She did also invite his mum and Nathan, but they decided to take the opportunity and go out on a date. Sebastian smiles at the thought of his mum being so happy and content, finally with someone who treated her with so much love and respect. It made him happy.

He was also glad that he was making friends at school already. It was usually difficult for him to do so, considering his past and his reserved nature, but now it was as easy as slicing a piece of cake.

Everyone at the school was crazy talented and filled with just as much passion for art as himself. He even found out that Lily loved constellations too, meaning most of their time together consisted of talk on their favourites.

Ellie came twirling into the kitchen, her dark blonde hair stitched into beautiful French braids, almost long enough to hit her in the face. Sebastian chuckles as she comes to a stop right beside him, wrapping her tiny arms around his waist.
