Chris was filled to the brim with nerves. Hands shaky, covered in sweat, a racing heart as he sucks in deep breaths. Why you may ask? Chris was finally meeting his football team. The guys he would be playing with for the next few years, growing close with, becoming like brothers.

If Sebastian was there with him, he may have been able to calm down. But all he had with him were Max, Matthew and Liam whom were equally as nervous, almost as though they were ticking time bombs. One more pile of nerves and they would explode.

Finally, after what seemed like hours, the four of them, and many other students their age, are let out onto the large football field situated out behind the school.

It was like nothing Chris had ever seen before. Instead of bleachers, there were proper seats surrounding the field with shelter, like a proper stadium. Chris felt like he was home.

Out in front of them, dressed in the schools tracksuits, stood his new team. They were all tall, large and muscular and seemed as though they could knock you over in the tiniest of shoves.

"Jesus." He hears Liam mutter, staring at all of them with wide eyes.

"Welcome!" A man bellows, voice deep and filled with authority. The coach. "Nice to know you guys actually came and didn't wimp out."

Chris would've laughed if he wasn't so nervous. He reminded Chris of his old coach back in high school. The team did, grinning with pure humour and intimidation. Chris was excited.

"Okay, listen up because I'm only gonna say this once!" He yells, silencing the chatter in an instant. "Morning practices are at five thirty till seven everyday except for Wednesday's cause I'm feeling generous this year." The team laughs.

"That's generous?" Liam whispers, earning an elbow to his side.

"If you can't handle that, that's not my problem. In the afternoons we have two to three hour practices, always before dinner. I expect you to eat something before, just a snack, not a huge meal. Make sure you stick to the meal plan, I don't need you guys getting all sloppy."

The rest of it was mainly a blur.

They were introduced to their teammates, all of which made sure to give little notes on the coach and what makes him angry. They were told that practices were to start tomorrow, meaning Chris and Sebastian would be unable to FaceTime, were given their tracksuits, then were sent on their way.

"They were huge!" Liam hisses as they begin to make their way back to Max and Chris's dorm. "I swear they could've killed us. And getting up at four in the morning? Jesus."

Chris chuckles. "Some coaches like to get practice started early to get us awake and focused. Last year, my coach sometimes made us get to school at five to do practise."

"So your gonna be fine." Liam whines. "I'm not! I hate getting up early!"

"Hey Liam." Matthew whispers, Chris and Max already knowing where this was going. "I think I saw one of the guys on the team eyeing you up."

Liam flinches. "Seriously!?"

Matthew nods. "Totally. He looked like he wanted to beat you to a pulp." He cackles evilly, Liam glaring and punching his shoulder harshly.
