"Please don't expect me to clean up after every mess you make...", Pina said with a sigh. "We're the only ones who know Riz is the killer."
Legosi's mind was buzzing ever since his outburst at Riz's comment. Even with Alan jumping in before Pina brought the tension down, he couldn't stop thinking about how the bear behaved. The entire time he was calm, almost unbothered by it all! The contrast was clear between them, with Legosi coming close to lashing out before Alan split them up. Even when Pina came in, he kept a straight face.
The wolf held his face as he sat with the sheep at a secluded bench, "I'm really, really sorry..."
"Well, I don't blame you for being pissed off.", Pina said. "I'm guessing Riz is used to the whole 'nice bear' act. I'd consider him to be the polar opposite of you."
He wasn't wrong with that, and Legosi knew it. While the bear kept his composure all through the confrontation, he was the one who instigated and escalated it. In all honesty, he would've thrown a punch if it weren't for Alan and Pina. Even then, there was something wrong with how Riz acted. Not exactly wrong, but unusual. How was he so calm about it all?
"I have you as my ally, but Riz is alone and acts in secrecy.", Legosi said as he looked at the sheep. "If I were in his shoes, I'd crumble under the torment. He was calm, though. I feel this overwhelming difference between us."
"So, it's like you're a virgin and he isn't?"
That made things click in his head, "T-that's close! It's like he's in a completely different world than me because he knows something I don't. I think I need to find out how he thinks."
"Wait, wait, wait.", Pina said nervously. "Calm down! Why should you lump yourself with a damn criminal?!"
The wolf grabbed his shoulders, "Come on, everyone has the potential to be criminals. Especially carnivores..."
"Legosi-senpai, are you planning on eating me?", he said after a bit of silence. "In order to get close to him?"
"No way!", he let go of the sheep and stood up hastily. "But I still found a way to solve this case."
The wolf slung his backpack over his shoulder, "I'm going to reach a mutual understanding with Riz by fighting him! I think it's possible..."
With that, he ran off, leaving the sheep still on the bench with his legs crossed.
...I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up in tomorrow's news as a sex offender., he thought idly. I'm not gonna testify for him.

Legosi has a lot of quirks, some known widely and others only noticed by a few. One that only a few of his friends know, mostly Jack, is that he's fascinated by bugs. Even from a young age, he was drawn to them for some reason. It wasn't so much an obsession as it was a strange interest that stayed with him over time. Even now, he found them interesting, so much that he had a rhinoceros beetle back in the spring. It had died over the summer, though, and he wasn't there to see it off because of certain events going on at the time.
His talk with Pina brought an idea to him, a rather uncomfortable one. That night, he went into the woods and looked among patches of moss beneath the trees. He found the scents that were hidden in them, leading him to his objective. As he dug into the moss and found the moving larvae in the dirt, he couldn't help noticing them. They were conscious— alive, and he could tell. It only served to make his plan even more crazy than before, but he had little choice now...
"Are you sure about this?", Gouhin asked as he lit some candles down in the cold room.
"Yes. I'm going to eat these insects alive."
