I looked away for a second but my gaze always went back to Benny.

"Maybe they can't find a dog that looks exactly like that."

Benny didn't stop smiling.

I rolled my eyes.

"How do you do this every day?"

"I've just kinda gotten used to it... and I don't usually stay here the whole time."

"Where do you go?"

Benny took my hand and we started walking.

We went to this weird bushed in area.

When we walked through the bushes it looked like something from a movie.

You could hear the sound of the river and it was just that... you could only hear one thing.

But my confidence level went way down when I realized you could hear the other boys.

"Never mind...we should go."

We walked to the corner store where we always met and stayed there till the other boys got there.

"Smalls if you say one more time it was just luck I'm gunna kick you."

I watched the corner waiting for them to turn the corner.

As they did I smiled...know what was about to happen today.

"Hey guys."

"Hey Kay, hey Benny."

"Oh uh I gotta go get somethin' I'll be back." Benny said already leaving.

It wasn't like Benny to forget anything

"He's probably going to get someone new. That's the excuse he always uses."
