Her eyes glistened with tears as mine narrowed.
How could you love someone so much and at the same time not want anything to do with them?
She put on a fake smile.
"Right, I know that." She shook her head in agreement.
I guess to hate someone you have to love them a little bit.
The problem is, I didn't love y/n a little.
I loved her a lot.
Seeing her here, saying what I had said, made me want to just go over and hug her.
I couldn't bring myself to do it.
"You did good Benny." Julie placed a hand on my shoulder.
Y/n was walking away.
I tried to stay strong.
I tried not to walk after her...
So I ran after her instead.
We got right outside of the sandlot.
"Y/n!" I yelled, she was about to cross the street.
She stopped and turned around.
I walked closer to her.
I saw tears flowing down her cheeks.
"Y/n I can't do this." I was choking back my own tears.
She wiped her face.
"Y/n, you are the only girl I think about, you're just so irresistible!"
She just smiled and shook her head no.
"Don't do this." She said.
"How are you able to reject me so easily?!" I asked.
Snow began falling.
She seemed to get upset at what I had said.

"You think it's easy??" I asked
It wasn't easy! I had to reject my best friend and someone who I had grown to love more than anything.
I walked right up to him and stared at him.
The height difference had really became noticeable between us.
I stared at his adorable brown eyes.
Staring into his eyes however proved not to be the best idea.
My anger just turned into butterflies.
He looked at me and placed his cold hand on my warm cheek.
I had become so worked up I was sweating.
His eyes darted from my eyes to my lips.
"Can I kiss you?" He finally asked.
I shook my head, my eyes not moving from his gaze.
As he kissed me my heart felt like it lit up.
As if fireworks were going off in my stomach.
The moment when it was finally over my feet slipped from under me and I fell.
Benny of course lost his balance too and we both fell.
We both bursted with laughter.
