"Levi Ackerman I know you are in there! Open this damn door!" I scream, not caring if the whole Hotel hears it.

I don't hear anything on the other side for a while. I open my mouth to scream again, but this time the door opens, almost by itself. Levi steps to the side for me to come in, without even looking at me.

"Levi! I looked everywhere for you. I was so worried. What's happening?"

I can't believe my eyes when I see his luggage closed behind him. The closet doors are still open and I can see there isn't any clothes left there. My chin trembles. And he still won't look at me.

"Are you leaving me?"

"No. I'm getting out of your way".

"What do you mean by that?"

He doesn't move. His dead eyes are still on the floor. My blood is boiling.

"Levi, look at me!" I scream at him.

He obeys and I'm faced by the saddest expression I've ever seen him demonstrate. I have tears in my eyes, so overwhelmed and confused by all of what's happening.

"Please, talk to me. What is going on?"

"I know that Eren Jaeger is back for you".

"What-"

"I saw him at your house today. So I'm getting out of your way".

"How do you know about him?"

"I heard Historia talking about it the other day. So I'm not staying between you two".

I finally understand what is going through his damn closed head. I breathe, feeling a bit relieved. "You weren't leaving me" I say to myself. "Oh, Levi, we need to talk-".

"Please, Y/N". He turns from me, glancing at the room's window. "I don't want to see-" His voice sounds like his throat is obstructed. I don't think he's crying, but I feel he's close to. "I just don't want to look at you while you say you're going to him".

"Levi, I-"

"I've been through this before".

"Who said I'm going to him?"

I see his body freezing in place, but he's still unsure to turn to face me. I walk a bit closer, like I'm approaching a scared stray cat.

"Yes, Eren has just left my house. Right after I ended everything between us, forever" I keep talking, hoping Levi will trust me enough and look at me again. "I've ended things right after he left, six years ago. I didn't even know he was coming to Maria. If Eren had hope, that was on him, because I never led him to think I'd wait for him".

He slowly turns to face me, his eyes less scared now. I continue to explain myself:

"I was about to tell you about him and everything that happened. It just never occurred to me to tell before because...He simply wasn't here".

I walk closer to him, but unsure if I should touch him somehow. "Historia said you were leaving town and I thought you were leaving me, with no reason".

"Why would I do that?"

"I-I don't know..." My tears finally escape my eyes. "M-maybe you got tired of me. Maybe you thought I was too plain for you, I don't know..."

Levi touches me first, gently brushing my hair behind my ear. His thumb caresses my cheek, swiping my tears away.

"I would never think that. There isn't a single thing you could do that would tire me. You aren't plain, Y/N. You are everything".
