(~Your POV~)

I subtly pull Blue aside and to the other side of the living room, so that we could have a more private chat. I nervously smile and quietly ask, "Blueberry, who is that?" "That would be Horror! He needed to get away from home because of some.. um.. family issues..? He couldn't afford to stay in one of the single apartments downstairs, so he's living with me and helping with the rent. You should go introduce yourself! You two can be friends too!"

I pause, staring at Blue for a while, "How are you not worried? Can't you see the red flags here?" Blue tilts his head, "No? I didn't know the landlord redecorated anything with those. Were they in the lobby?"

I rub my temples, "No. Sans, it's an expression. You know that feeling that your conscience has when something doesn't feel right or safe?" "Of course. Papy always compared it to an alarm system. So where are the flags?" Blue chuckles, oblivious to any point I'm trying to make.

I sigh and just try taking the blunt version, still keeping my voice down, "There are a bunch of signs that can make a person seem suspicious or dangerous, that's what we call 'red flags.' My conscience understands that you're nice. I know that you're my friend and I know you want to help your other friends too. BuT the guy you're living with is sEttINg oFF mY alArM systEM..!"

Blue's smile fades into concern as he looks between me and Horror. Then he looks at me with a serious look, "Y/N. You may be nervous, but everything's okay! He's never hurt me intentionally and he hasn't hurt any of the humans either. Just introduce yourself. Try to get to know him better. I know he may look a little scary, but that doesn't mean we can't be his friends. OH- I'll give you a hint of what to talk about. He loves food!"

I sigh and facepalm, "Blue-" "Oh no! I'm going to be late for work! Horror me! Could you help Y/N get their stuff inside and unpacked?! Thank you- I'll be back in a few hours!!" Blue rushes outside the apartment without a second thought.

'DID HE JUST- IT'S SATURDAY!!!! HE
SeT mE UP!'

I'll kill him later. Now I'm stuck here with a basic serial killer Sans.

'Great.'

My heart is racing from the sudden stress, but I try to remain calm. When I look over, Horror's standing in the same spot as before. He hasn't moved an inch, it seems like he's frozen in time. He's just... staring at me..

I get sudden chills down my spine.

'God, I'm really going to kill Blue after this. He better get me an apology milkshake or something while he's out.'

"So.. um... My name is Y/N, by the way..." I introduce myself, not moving from my spot either. He continues to stare at me, making me feel even more on-edge.

'Who is this guy?!'

(~Horror's POV~)

I carefully looked over their features. Looks healthy enough. (H/l h/c) hair that surprisingly complimented their (e/c) eyes. I have to admit, I'm a little curious as to what their soul trait might be.

They're definitely afraid of me. I can clearly see them giving me that same look I get from every other human.

Blue always speaks so highly of Y/N, especially with me. He talked about how they managed to get along with every Sans and Papyrus they met. Blueberry adores that they're kind and understanding. The first human he made friends with up here.

'I guess I was idiotic to believe it would be the same for me, huh?'

"Um.. hello???" They speak to me again, almost in a whimper. I roll my eye and go to the front door, "Let's start moving your stuff inside. Ya can't just leave it out in the hall all day. Somebody could take something."

I don't need to mind the human very much, since it seems they want little to do with me in the first place. However, I didn't need to see them for very long to tell that they're not dangerous. Y/N is pretty easy to read.

They would never do anything to hurt Blue. The only person that could ever understand me.

'That's the only thing that matters.'

(~Your POV + Time Skip~)

It's been very awkward. We quietly brought all the boxes inside. Then, we spent the next hour organizing and unpacking everything. We're still working on that. I don't expect us to finish everything today. It might take up to a week, even if Blue was here helping us.

I'm grateful that Horror's decided to at least help me, even if he won't say anything. That's when the slight feeling of guilt started to set in.

'Was I too harsh earlier? Did he overhear something I said? Oh god- what if he did? That's probably it, isn't it?! DANG IT, Y/N!'

Trying to start off a conversation with some small talk, I nervously ask, "So how long have you been living with Blue for?" Horror uses the tips of his clawed fingers, slowly cutting straight through the packing tape without difficulty and opening up another box. Without a warning, his pupil suddenly shifts upwards, looking to me. Even though I should've expected it, I still flinch.

'Why does this guy startle me so easily?!'

"It's probably been around a month." He answers, his voice sounding monotonous. I swallow the forming bump in my throat, just struggling to keep calm. My body wants to jump up and run. My hands are clamped tightly around the box in front of me.

I can't keep eye contact for very long before purposefully looking down into the open box, "That's kind of odd, he never even mentioned having a roommate." "Well I guess Blue realized that he doesn't have to tell you everything."

'WhaT? Are you kidding me?!'

I try to hide my sudden anger building up towards the strange skeleton.

'Blue is my best friend. Usually, he tells me everything, UNLESS SOMETHING IS WRONG!'

"Blue said you helped him with the rent. What do you do for work?" I ask another question in a more serious tone. Horror sighs and answers again, uninterested, "I work for a butcher shop. It's down two blocks from here."

"Is that where you got that scar? Did something happen there?" I must've pried too far. There was the sudden and loud sound of cardboard ripping, and then things got deathly quiet. My blood goes cold for some odd reason, I'm terrified to even glance up.

Still, I did anyway. My heart drops and my lungs stop working. Horror's nails clawed and shredded straight into a cardboard box as he gives me the most horrifying glare I've ever seen. I can't look away and blinking seems like a death wish at this point.

"I didn't ask to be in this interrogation thing ya got going on, but so far I've allowed it. BUT NEVER TALK ABOUT MY SKULL. . . G O T I T?"

"I-I-I unDeRStaNd. I'm s-soRRy." I stutter, fearful and even praying for my own life. Something just isn't okay about this Sans. What happened to him?!

Horror's attention goes back to unpacking. As he removes his hands from the box, it reveals the ten claw marks. It looks as if a large animal had just gone savage on it.. Could he cut right through my skin that easily?

'BLuE, pLEasE ComE BaCKkkK!!!'
