[-After Book Ending-]

"Yes Horror, I just got off from work. Blue wanted me to get some things from the store so I'm leaving there now and I'm on my way back." I explain, holding my phone up to my ear with one hand and holding onto my bag of groceries with the other. The next thing I heard was Horror's amused chuckle.

[Okay, okay! I just wanted to make sure. I'll be closing up this place in a minute. Are you cooking again tonight, Sweetcakes?]

I quickly approach my car and start searching for my keys. "Actually, Blue invited us to that thing that he had planned tonight. Remember?" I remind him.

[Right, I forgot........ Are you sure I can't have just a little snack first? Made with absolute perfection and tons of love by my very steamy lover-]

"Don't make me hang up." I scold him, my cheeks already turning bright red.

[I like my dessert in bed. It's so hot.]

'WHAT IS UP WITH YOU?!'

I got so flustered in the moment, I completely lost my grip whilst fumbling with my car keys. They hit the cement with a loud clang. Next, I watched as it bounced and then slid underneath my car. I groan loudly, "DaNg it, Sans! I hate you."

[Everything alright?]

"Not now." I'm aggravated now as I have no choice but to put all my items down. (Writer~San: Items can be anything specific or nothing at all, whether it be just groceries or a purse/backpack too)

I didn't even give Horror a chance to respond, immediately hanging up and putting away my phone.

'Thanks to him, now I'll probably break my back trying to get my keys..'

On the contrary, turns out my keys would come right back. It startled the heck out of me when my keys suddenly slid out from under the vehicle and hit my feet. Something must've hit it back. Right? Perplexed, I stepped back at first.

'What the heck???'

I slowly get down onto the ground and look underneath my car. A small and dirty puff of white fur stares right back at me, opening its mouth and sounding out a faint meow. The small stray kitten couldn't be any bigger than the size of my hand.

(Writer~San: For anyone that is allergic or hates cats.... I sincerely apologize, but the kitten exists now and it is going to continue to exist for this chapter. TwT)

"Oh goodness.. Hi baby~" I speak softly, watching it. I look around. "Where's your mama?" I parked on the far side of the parking lot. There's less cars here so it'd definitely be easy to spot if there was another larger cat around. I don't see any. It could be back by the dumpsters, looking for food. However, I'm afraid to go look and then the baby would run off.

'It's definitely been out here for a while.'

It's fur being dirty and knotted is the first clue to my conclusion. It's got some fleas too. Poor thing must be itching and even more miserable in this heat. Secondly, one of its ears has been torn off, meaning it had a rough encounter with something. Possibly another cat or even a dog.

'Poor thing needs a bath.'

It meows again while continuing to stare at me. I'm conflicted now. While checking it, I noticed it's missing one of its front paws. It doesn't look like it was caused by an injury which means it was probably born that way. Life definitely hasn't treated it kindly, breaking my heart even more.
