Chapter 6- Disappeared

(~Horror's POV~)

'Is Y/N okay?'

They haven't come back yet. After a few minutes of waiting, I lost my appetite. I packed up the leftovers desserts and snacks.

'I did something to offend them, didn't I? Was it because I ate something they wanted?'

....

"I would run too. Do you see how large that hole is? I bet some person did that for trying to kill them."
.
"No one would be friends with a monster like that. He looks like he'd be a killer. Somebody look up if he's an escaped criminal or something-"
.
"I bet they were being forced to sit with him. Good thing they ran off. Probably saved their life."
.
"Shhh! You're talking too loud! He'll hear you and then we're all dead..!"

The group of teens laugh at each other before quieting down. I can't overhear their conversation anymore. Although, they make it pretty obvious that they're still speaking about me. They all keep gazing at me and then pretending to stab or strangle the friend next to them.

Out of habit, I go to grab at my hood, only to remember that I don't have my jacket. My stress slowly escalated, drowning out any other thoughts.

'They're all talking about you. They're staring. No one can ever accept you.'

My sight scans the room as I overlook every person in the dining area. It's only now that Y/N's gone that I notice how many people are staring at me. People still getting their food are completely avoiding this table. If they're not that obvious, they quietly keep a large distance from me as they pass.

I need to go, NOW.

Starting to shake, I stand up. I can hear one of the teens closer to me get excited, joking and whispering, "Let's follow him and see if he leads us to a body."

'I hate this.'

I grab at my chest, overwhelmed by my throbbing soul. Instead of staying any longer, I take a shortcut to get myself out of there. As I appear into a whole new place, I smack into a wall.

I wince, rubbing my skull from the little amount of pain.

'Right, I haven't been here before so my teleportation's not accurate.'

I look around, being in one of the stores. An employee sees me and freaks out, "Sir? Are you okay?! That's a wall-" As soon as she gets closer to see my appearance, she gasps and stops.

Frustration boils inside of me as I fight back tears at this point. I WAnT To GeT oUT oF HeRe!

I run out and back into the main hallways in the mall. I'm in a completely different section. I don't recognize any of these places. We never passed them before.

'Why was this place designed to be a maze?!!'

Breathing heavily and panicked, my vision blurs at the edges. The humans passing me and staring are as clear as day. Their scared and repulsed expressions are burning into my skull. I can't take it, grabbing tightly at my shirt and running towards the first hiding spot I see.

(~Your POV~)

Panicked, I raise my voice, "I told you! I can't find him! He just vanished and left everything!"

[Human, calm down..! Go to one end of the mall and come back while checking all the stores. I'll do the same but on the other side. I'm sure one of us will find him by the time we meet up.]
