3- Arrival

Artem's POV

I watched her leave before sitting in my car.

Why can't she just use Artem..? Whatever... I'll get her to love me. Since she came to the office, I want to be with her... I sighed and started to drive home.

I relaxed and stared. I thought and sat down.

There shouldn't be anyone else who has their eyes on her... Hopefully... I think that her and Izumi are just friends... I stared and sat back. The NXX group texted me, it was Vyn. I stared before opening the message.

"Have you found a partner yet Artem?"
"That's true. He does need a partner soon." Marius texted and I glared. I sighed and texted them.
"There's someone I want to be my partner. But I'm not so sure about her skill yet."
"Ah, he actually responded. I'm surprised." Luke texted and I glared.
"I expected you to be the nice one Luke." Vyn responded first.
"It doesn't matter how nice he is. We'll have to find someway to test the girl."
"A girl? Are you sure this isn't just a romantic interest of yours Artem?" Marius teased and I glared. I shut my phone off and made some coffee.

"Do I just want her near me..? No, her skill is extraordinary. She was confident in what she did at court and able to prove her client not guilty." I mumbled and sighed. I started to think about what to do to get her to start using my first name.

Reader POV- Next Morning

I stretched after I finished completing the paperwork so Ms Marino and Mr Janus aren't filed to be married. I almost started to watch some tv until my doorbell ring. I looked and smiled. Right, Matsuri and Hayumi wanted to come over.

I smiled and opened my door. They smiled when they saw me and I smiled too.

"Matsuri! Hayumi! It's good to see you both!" I cheered and they smiled. Matsuri hugged me first. I laughed and let them in.

"Don't mind the paperwork, I was just organizing the case files to turn in to the police department." "Right. Have you called your client?" I smiled and spoke. "He's still pretty stressed about what happened during court. And still mourning, so give him some time. But how long are you two going to be here?" Hayumi nodded and spoke. "A week if that's alright." "Of course! We do need to catch up so I don't mind!" I smiled and they nodded.

I was called on my work phone and looked. "Ah, give me a minute." I smiled and saw it was Miss Mendoza. They nodded and just sat on the couch while I picked up and went in another room.

"Hello Miss Mendoza. What's wrong?"
"Well... Ms Marino isn't doing good... could you please come over soon to help her? Janus is going to therapy safely but Ms Marino can't even bring it up with someone she doesn't know without crying... and she can't talk with me well since I suggested the divorce, she asked me to get you to come over soon..." I smiled and spoke.
"Of course. I planned to spend the day with some friends unless something came up relating to me needing to take a case. I can see if I can come tomorrow or the day after if that's fine."
"Please do. I'm sorry to interrupt what you're doing with your friends, so I'll let you go soon. Oh, did you need them for the final papers?"
"Nope. I handled them on my own. Don't worry Miss Mendoza."
"That's good... I'll call you again if something urgent with Ms Marino or Janus comes up."
"That's a good idea. I don't want them forcing the other to talk with them either. Mr Janus looked pissed with Ms Marino."
"I understand. Please call me back when you know when you can come over. And how long."
"Sounds good. I'll ask now, please wait a minute." She made a slight hum and I put my phone down before leaving.

"Hey Matsuri and Hayumi, I have something to ask you both." "Huh? Go ahead." I smiled and spoke.

"So, I don't want to go in too much detail with this one, but last night, when I had to hang up with you two, it was because of a divorce. The lady of the divorce isn't handling it well and I offered that her and the man she divorced can have me as therapy since they both needed it. The man has his own therapist safely, so he doesn't need me. The lady however... her secretary just called me and request I go there soon since she can't talk with anyone who doesn't know about the divorce." Matsuri got it and smiled.
