𝐘𝐄𝐀𝐑: 1780
"Im home!" I shouted closing the door. I took off the cloak and held it on my arm. I walked upstairs to my room and closed the door. I threw the cloak on the bed and walked to the vanity. I took all the things out and and examined them. There was a glass box with crystals inside it. The colors were, Purple, Dark Red, Black, Emerald green and Dark Blue. It was two of each color. The next thing I saw was a wooden box. I opened and it revealed a black candle. On a cushion. The inside of the opening reveals two words. "Babylon candle..." I whispered. I picked it and examined it. There was a piece of paper wrapped around it at the bottom. I slid it off and unrolled it. "The fastest way to travel is by candlelight" I muttered. 'Even if its true, I don't think I'll use it.' I thought to myself. I took the box that contained Lorenzo's gift and walked out. I walked to his room and knocked. Silence. I knocked three more times and still silence. I walked in and looked around. He wasn't here. I walked to his desk and placed it there. I got a piece of paper and wrote him down a note before walking out. I walked to Mother and Father's room and looked inside. She wasn't there either. I furrowed my brows and walked to Father's study. I knocked three times and waited for his answer. "Im busy!" He shouted. I sighed and knocked again. "Its me Father..." I said. "Come in!" He shouted again. "I just saw you today. What's wrong?" He asked harshly. "Just wanted to ask where Mom is." I said with my hands behind my back. "She went to visit a relative with your brother" He replied. "Ok...Thanks" I said then started walking to the door. "Who gave you a key?" He asked. I turned back around and walked to his desk. "The drawer you don't put a lock on" I replied. "Why'd you go into the woods?" "Because im tired of being trapped in this whole castle with nothing to do but read into meaningless silence" I replied again. "You like to read in silence" He said confused. "Yeah but not all quiet to the point where you can hear a damn drop of water- Drop!" I said. "I even have to open my window sometimes so I can hear the birds and the wind. Or sometimes the rain" I added. "You know you can't go out if the perimeter. The greenhouse is there if you wanna use it" He pointed out. "But dad that's not fair. I wanna go out and see things. Not just stay here in this boring house. You don't even come out of your study and mother is always sleeping in bed when she can" I said sitting down and scooting the chair closer to his desk. "Fine" He said standing up and walking to the door. "Where are you going?" I asked standing up. "WE are going horse racing"

"On your mark!" Anders shouted as we got on our places. "Get set!" He added. "GO!" And with that we fastly rode away. I laughed as I passed him. "REMEMBER PAPA! DAILY CHOCOCLATE FOR LIFE!" I laughed. I was almost getting to the line. From the corner my eye I saw Father getting closer. "YA!" I yelled causing blaze to go faster. But it was no use father passed and passed the line. I sighed and rode beside. "THAT'S RIGHT I WIN! IM A WINNER!" He shouted with his hands in the air. "No your just old with experience" I pointed out. Anders chuckled and walked back inside. "Hey! No insults to your father" He said chuckling.

I knocked out his king and smirked. "Checkmate!" I said with a proud smile. "Rematch!" He said shocked. "We agreed on No Rematch!" I said. "Well its not fair. You probably already read about this" He complained. "Ahu. No complaining Papa I won." I said picking up the money we bet in. "Ok...We play cards now?" I asked. "No its fine. You should go to bed its getting late and your mother will be here in the morning" He said standing up. "Ok" I said as I stood up. I walked up to him from behind and hugged him. "Thanks for spending the day with me dad" I said. "Welcome" He said patting my hand. I let go and watched him walk out of the library. I smiled to myself and walked out, to my room. I took off my dress and left my night gown on. I turned off the lantern and got under the covers.
