After eating, and arguing who was going to pay the check- which of course silas won- we exited and headed toward his car. Stepping towards the door, he rushes to my side to open the door. Giving him a tight smile and a small nod I sit in the passenger seat waiting for Silas to take a seat inside the car.
He gets in and turns on the car. Pressing on the gas he rests his hand on the steering wheel and the other one on the gear.
Jesus Christ. Please give me the strength.
" Huh? " Silas asks turning his head towards me.
Crap. Did I just say that out loud????
Way to go kalani.
Oh shut up.
" Mhm? " I respond trying to sound clueless. He places a smirk on his face and shakes his head, averting his gaze back to the road. Letting out a quiet sigh, I look out he window.
About 45 minutes past and we're still on the highway. God where is this man taking me to. Do I need to call somebody because at this point we've been driving FORVER.
" So... where are we heading to ? " I needed to say something. I mean we've been in comfortable silence for the past couple of minutes but I'm bored and I really need o know where we are headed.
" Relax, its a surprise. We're almost there anyways " he responds. He pisses me off my god.
" So how have u been lately? What's going on with your mom ? " I stiffen in the seat. Jesus... I haven't had anyone talk about her in years. I hate the women with every inch of my body. She caused me pain, trauma and almost cost me my life. She is no mother to me. She never was.
I clear my throat and avert my gaze back to Silas, " nothing much but other than that my mother, that bitch is dead to me " I shrug.

I wince slightly at her words. I wonder how she's been.. kalani I mean. Her mother was shit when we were kids. Ever since I left, I wonder if she's gotten worse. Kalani used to adore, her. I don't know about that now.
" oh would u like to tal- "
" No I don't wanna talk about it silas. Don't pity me neither. "
I nod In understanding. I won't push her to tell me about something she doesn't wanna talk about. You see with kalani. She's very sensitive and when u say something to her u got to be extra careful. Talking about her mother is a very sensitive topic and I respect that she doesn't want to talk about it at the moment.
I look over at her and see her looking out the window. She so goddamn pretty. My god.
She looks over and catches me staring. I tried to look away but she caught me to fast.
" What? " she asks with her eye brow raised.
" No-Nothing " Dammit she makes me so goddamn nervous.
She nods her head and I hear a quiet hmm' before she turns her head back to gazing out of the window.
this is gonna be a long day.
