I pick at my nails and stare at the sky.. it's quiet beautiful. All the lights are shining in the buildings as it's getting late and the fairy lights set up makes it makes it 10 times better.
" I've been good. You know doing what I've always wanted to do. I've got my license in cosmetology, got a nice house and a nice car. I'm providing for myself. " I turn back towards him and see him smiling at me.
" What? " I ask.
He shakes his head and sits up, " Nothing. Just proud of u. You've been dreaming and talking about it when we were younger and I'm so glad u Got to do something u love and enjoy. It's cute "
I laugh lightly and turn my head back to the sky, " It's cute ? What's that supposed to mean ? "
" Nothing.. nothing "
I nod and bring my knees up to my chest. It's kind of chilly outside and I have no jacket on. Silas senses my chillyness and Puts his hoodie on my body and throws the blanket over my legs.
I give him a soft smile and lean back a little.
Silas's POV.
God... could someone look this beautiful right now? Just looking at her makes my stomach do all that fucked up shit. Butterfly's yeah.
" You remember how we used to do this when we were kids? The getting up late just to come down to the cliff that was next to my house, and we used to stay there until the sun came up. " I say.
She nods and laughs a little, " yeah I do. Having to run back home before we got caught. It was always fun "
" I miss it. " I say looking towards her.
" Yeah " she murmured.
We stare at each other. What feels like an eternity, but was such a short time. She was the first one to break the contact.
" let's just sit here. Think. Relax. " she states.
" we have time. " I whisper.
" yeah we do.. "
