Rico x reader. I don't think he's had his own chapter without him being in a glitzy dance battle with Romeo.

I love rivalries.

Reader is female, but feel free to Change it if you want~!

Soulmate fanfics are also my favorite.. I wish they were real..-_-

Soulmates.

Everyone had one.

At least everyone was supposed to have one.

Everyone was born with a mark somewhere on their body, and their soulmate would have the matching one.

Yours was the oddest thing, yet you didn't expect it to be so large, it took your whole left arm. Almost like a tattoo.

You parents we're just as surprised when they saw it on you. They were stunned from it, it was a large vibrant peacock feather.

Some people didn't believe you when you told them about your soul mark. They thought it was just a tattoo.

But luckily your best friend knew quite a bit on marks. She had taken you out to a club downtown. Just to get you to socialize more.

"You know, your soulmate may be a monster.  If it was a human, it'd be smaller." She smiles.

"How do you know?" You ask her.

"I live with six of them." She winks with a small laugh.

She further continues to confuse you. But then again, she always was a little quirky.

She gets up from the table. "I'm going to get us some drinks okay? Be right back!" The horned girl twirls on her heel and disappears into to crowd.

You shrug your shoulders and look down at the mark on your arm. It seemed much more vibrant in the lighting of the dance club.

Almost, sparkly? The blue ring in the center of the feather seemed to shimmer in the neon lights.

If your soulmate was a monster, where they a bird? Come to think of it.. Maybe they just really like peafowl's?

"Hola señorita, tell me, what's distracting that pretty mind from the party?" A voice snaps you out of your thoughts.

When you turn your head, your eyes widen in awe. The male next to you was indeed a monster.

But he seemed to be a skeleton monster. Dressed in a dark blue suit with a sparkly green bowtie with matching spandex pants.

He leaned on your table with a smile, he had the most prettiest green eye lights, you were envious.

He had natural eye shadow, it too was a dark sparkly teal, he even had longer lashes than you.

"O-oh I was just l-lost in thought." You shyly smile back to him, rubbing your marked arm nervously.

"Happens to the best of us. Now, what brings you to a place like this? It doesn't seem to be your scene." He asks, tilting his head, the small feathers tilting with him.

"A friend if mine took me out. She thought it help me meet my soulmate or something, I don't know she's weird." You laugh nervously.

He quickly slides into the chair in front of you, resting his arms on the table. "Do you mean the señorita with the horns?"

"Yeah. You know her?" You ask him.

He nods his head. "Si. Her and I are old friends. Which is odd since this isn't her scene either, she's the kind to read fan fiction until five in the morning." He snickers.

His laugh made your heart melt, it was just so pleasant to listen to, not to mention his sexy voice.

"She does." You laugh as well, your cheeks heated. "I'm y/n, her best friend." You hold your hand out for him.

He takes it into his and gently pecks your knuckles, your cheeks burned at the contact. "Encantado~ I'm Rico, Rico Garcia." He winks.

(Charmed)

You quickly avoided eye contact bashfully, how was this monster so good with words? You looked down at his arm, the one that still gently held your hand.

His arm was covered in a soul mark but it seemed to wrap around his arm like vines. And to your disbelief it was your favorite flower.

"Oh my god.. Is your soul mark a f/f?" You ask in in shock.

He nods his head. "Si, it is. You can look at it if you'd like." Rico smiles and stretches his arm out to you.

You take it into your hands and gently trace it with one of your fingers, it was your favorite flower. No doubt about it.

"Ah, I see yours is the feather of a peacock.. Its beautiful. Those birds are seen as royalty" Rico smiles, green eye lights flickering.

He pauses and rests a hand on his chin with his free arm. "May I show you something?"

You nod your head and rest your hands in your lap, a giddy smile on your face.

He slides out of the chair and stands to his full height, if you were to join him you'd be to his chest in height.

He grins. "Estas listo?"

(Are you ready?)

You stare at him with a shy smile, you just nodded your head.

Rico smirks and behind him was the magnificent train of a peacock, flowed out on full display for all to see.

"Wow.. Its stunning.." You comment looking over each of the vibrant feathers.

"Garcias. You are too kind, señorita.~" He bows to you, train fluttering down behind him.

It hit you. He was your soulmate.. Artsy was right.. You quickly stand from the table and pull him into an embrace.

An embrace he quickly returns, his arms wrap around your waist tightly. "I have finally found you señorita~."

He leans down to peck your cheek, which makes your knees weak.

As the two of you happily hold each other, Artsy had walked over to you both with a plate of fries and two sodas in her arms.

"What did I miss?"

End..! I hope you enjoyed~!
