It's late afternoon and we all are uneasy. I went to auntie before coming here. Well good for her auntie looks okay and well taken care off. She now can stand and eat properly, well of course with the help of the nurse. But just like all of us, auntie has been worried sick for Sam.
"Dad can't we just go in?" I plead father. Klaus held my shoulders urging me back. My head is throbbing and I'm in empty stomach.
"Kath you know it's family only" Dad looked at me in pain. "I know dear" He gave me a quick hug and went away.
I sat on my seat feeling irritated. Felix just crosses his arms across his chest. I couldn't quite see him well because he's wearing shades and a cap. I'm pretty sure he looks messes up underneath those shades.
"I thought you have your tour" I heard Klaus said.
"I do" His voice sounded hoarse. There's a tint of dark and angry tune in the end.
"I suppose you want to see her" Someone said in the doorway. Felix stood first as soon as we heard Stefan. Stefan is standing by the door holding a cup of starbucks coffee.
"Can we?" Felix asked with hope
Stefan nodded "One by one"
Felix looked back at me "You should go first, I'll be next"
"Stefan can we be in pairs? I'd want to be in the ICU for a long time" I asked him
"Yes of course, just not much noise" Of course. I can cope with that. I just wanted to see my bestfriend.
Felix and I walk towards the ICU. By just getting near to her warm tears streamed down my face. I bit my inner cheeks just to keep my still. 2 nurses held the door open for us and closed it when we got inside.
Sam looks worse than I could possibly imagine. Her head is wrapped with bondage and there's a tube attached to her nose for her to breathe. There's 2 tubes in her hands I don't actually know what is its purpose.
"You go first" Felix motioned his hand towards Samantha.
I sat beside her and held her head. Before I could say anything I tilted my head to see where Felix is seated. I shifted from my position.
I didn't say anything for a few minutes. I just held her hand rubbing her knuckles.There's this heavy feeling in my chest that I just wanna pour out.
For a few minutes I cannot take it anymore. "Samantha" I murmured "I really hope you can hear me now. I missed you" I choke in my own words.
"Sam please" I can't hear my own voice, I am talking as lightly as possible "You missed first day of class" I chuckled "You don't miss class, you should wake up and be strong!" I whispered smiling. More tears streamed down "Sammy everyone here is waiting and praying for you. Your mom is healthy as a horse don't worry." I bit my inner cheeks.
"C'mon Sammy. I'll visit you to Julliard if I had to. I promise that, just wake up please. C'mon everybody misses you." I clutched her hand tighter "Please please please" I whispered. I wept on her hand and I rested my forehead to the sheets of her bed,I cried harder." I just stayed there for a few more minutes.
I push my chair back and stood, just looking her her. I wiped my eyes and look towards Felix. He wasn't looking at me, he's burrying his head on his hands. I walk towards him and pat his shoulder.
Before I could say anything he looked up and nodded. I took his seat as he went over to Sam. I couldn't quite hear what he's saying, but I can hear him murmuring something to her. I looked away and push my knee up to my chest. I hugged my knees and wept.
