Seungmin pulled the curtain over so that I couldn't be seen.
"Seungmin, what the-"
"Shut up, dumbass."
Right then I heard someone enter the room.
"Oh um, Seungmin, right? Do you know if Yang Jeongin is in here by any chance? I was told he would be here."
"He's not here, Hyunjin. But he's fine, don't worry."
Why did he lie for me? Out of all the people, why did Seungmin lie for me? And why did Hyunjin not know Seungmin?
"Oh... Well, he didn't answer my messages, so I thought I got the wrong number but I guess he is avoiding me. If I only knew why."
Hyunjin's voice sounded disappointed. I really tried to not make a sound but I felt like my fast beating heart had gotten too loud all of a sudden.
Maybe, just maybe, it was Felix who lied to me.
"Anyway, I guess I will get going. Get well soon, Seungmin! That bruised face doesn't look too good."
"I always look good, but thanks Hyunjin."
He let out a soft giggle before I heard him leave the room.
I breathed out.
