Thinking about what happened back then made me feel uneasy. Jisung's dad was a horrible man. He had always been. There wasn't an excuse for his behavior. Though substance abuse may have played a role in all this.
I really tried to get him out of there but he didn't accept any help nor did he want anyone to know.
Before we started dating he told me that he got hickeys from a girl he had been seeing and since I didn't have any experience back then I just bought it. But of course after we got together, he couldn't lie to me like that.
It happened when I asked him to sleep over. He was getting changed in my room and I got back a bit faster than he expected. Seeing him with bruises, cuts and bandaids all over his back and chest made me cry. It hurt me a lot already but I couldn't imagine what it felt like for someone to have the person who's supposed to protect you be the one you needed to be protected from.
