The next morning, I woke up, not very rested. I could hardly sleep, and today's not even the day of the actual games! I can hardly imagine how much I'll be able to sleep on the day of the Hunger Games. I got up and changed out of my pajamas. Today, I'd be training with Bolt, and getting to know the other tributes. I decided to bring a pad of paper and pencil with me, in case someone talked to me.

After I tied my hair into a French braid, and finished changing, I headed to the dining hall. Inside, Bolt was sitting down. "Hey, Ada." He greeted me. I waved and sat down in a chair. I quickly ate a bowl of cereal, and got up.

'Bolt, do you know where the training center is?' I wrote down and held the paper out to him. He smiled at me and grabbed my hand, pulling me to where I guess the training center is. After a few minutes, we got there, and opened the doors. Inside, most of the tributes were already standing there.

Soon a woman started talking about training, and after a little while, I stopped listening. Finally, she finished talking, so everyone went to different stations. I went to the fire starting station. After a little while the girl from seven joined me there.

"Hey, I'm Squirrel." The girl surprised me by signing to me. "Hi, I'm Ada. You know sign language?"

"Yep. My little brother's deaf, so we use sign language to communicate."

"Oh, that's cool!"

"Yeah. All lot more people know sign language than just you, y'know. That little girl from district 9 know sign language too, but she doesn't use it."

Wow. I hadn't realized that my situation wasn't common. So far, already, Wiress spoke it, Squirrel did, and now the young girl from 9 did. I think her name was Mazie. After I successfully made a fire, I saw that Mazie was at the archery station, so I went over to her.

"Hello. Care for me to join you?"

She smiled at me and shook her head. I grabbed a bow and a sheath of Arrows. I'm going to be a joke at this. I've never used a weapon once in my life. But I wasn't focused on being good, I was more focused on making alliances today.

Soon, it was lunch, so I sat down next to Bolt, and Squirrel and Mazie joined us. We chatted, and by the end of lunch, I felt as if an alliance had formed. After lunch, we went back to train, and I found that I was alright at using the throwing knifes. Hopefully, they'll have them at the cornucopia...

That night, I finally fell asleep hopeful for the first night this trip.
