The next few nights, I got better rest, knowing that I have a chance of maybe winning the games. Finally, the day when I get my scoring from the game makers come. Me and Wiress had decided that I would use the knifes, and maybe do something with Wire or technology.

The only good thing about being in one of the first districts, is that district 3 doesn't have to wait very long to be called. "Ada Latier, District 3 female." A voice called for me. Finally! I walked into the room, faking confidence. I glanced up at the gamemakers. Some were eating the feast at the back, others were chatting to their friends, but a good chunk of hem were watching me, interested.

I walked over to the wire station, and that's when I had an idea. I grabbed a handful of wire, and long sticks. I placed the sticks vertically and started quickly making a trap out of wire and electrified it, and attached that to the sticks. Then I found a cup an poked holes in the bottom of it, and grabbed a dummy to put on the trap. I poured water into the cup, and water trickled out of the holes at the bottom, electrifying the dummy. I took another glance at the gamemakers, and most of them were confused, perhaps not comprehending the trap, but the ones that could understand it, looked fairly impressed.

"All right, thank you, Ada. You may leave now." A voice came through a speaker as the doors opened again. I smirked as I walked away, feeling proud of myself. I walked back to my room, and sat down on the bed, wishing for their to be something that would keep me entertained.

For the rest of the day, I wrote in the notebook that I found until it was time for dinner. I headed down the hallway until I found the dining compartment. Bolt and Cordin were sitting inside, politely chatting with one another. "Hello, Ada! Have a nice day?" Cordin smiled at me. I grabbed my notebook and scribbled, 'Yes, thank you. Did you?'

"Why yes, I did!" He responded. Soon, Avoxes brought our dinner out, which consisted of meat and salads. Once everyone had finished, we headed to a room that had a T.V in it. Caesar Flickerman came on, and started announcing the scores. Wireless joined us right before we got announced.

"District three, Ada Latier has scored a...7! And District 3, Bolt Karny has scored a... 5!"

I started grinning. The atmosphere changed at once, first anxious, but now excited and happy. "Congratulations on you training scores!" Cordin told both of us. "I don't think we've had such promising tributes for a while..." He muttered under his breath.

Wireless was very pleased, and when I told her what I did, she started to chuckle lightly. "You're exactly like your father. Are you planning on doing something like that in the arena?" She signed to me. "Thanks! Maybe, but we'll need to see what the arena is, before I get to start planning."

She nodded. After a few minutes,my eyelids began to get heavy, so I bid them all goodnight, and headed back to my room. I did get a glimpse at the other's training scores in my room, and like usual, the Career tributes got higher scores, an the other districts varied from average to below average. Other than the Careers, the only other tribute I feel like I should watch out for was Brin, the male tribute from the same district as Mazie, district 9. Mazie got a 4 in training and Squirrel got a 7 too.

I pulled on a striped shirt and shorts before collapsing onto my bed and falling asleep.
