"We saw a female!" Hiccup shouted as he came into the stables.
Frida looked up at him wide-eyed. "What did she look like?" She asked.
"Well, she was a little smaller than Toothless, her scales were completely smooth and she had dark blue eyes. She also had shorter ear fins than Toothless but they were still pointy," Hiccup described.
Frida nodded. It wasn't the same one she had seen, but that just worried her even further. If the Night Furies were out, a certain someone would be after them.
She had to find this Fury and get her away.
"I am going for a walk," she said and stood up.
"I am coming with you," Heather said as she stood up.
"No!" Frida said a little too loud. Everyone turned and Heather looked hurt. "I just need a little air, don't worry," she corrected herself. She wanted nothing more than to kiss her cheek and say sorry, but Heather had said she wasn't ready to tell the whole gang she liked girls.
"Ok," Heather said while looking down.
'Screw it' Frida thought and walked over to Heather. She gave her a hug and a quick peck on the cheek. When she pulled away, Heather had a deep blush on her cheeks as she looked around to see if anyone had seen them. No one had.
Frida walked out of the stables and towards the forest. Shadow was walking beside her as they searched for any sign of the Night Fury.
Shadow was smelling the air and ground as they walked through the forest. He eventually stopped and stared in front of him.
Frida looked but didn't see anything. She knew why. She extended her hand as she felt around. Warm air hit her hand before she felt a smooth snout on the palm of her hand.
The Night Fury became visible and Frida smiled. She was just as Hiccup had described her. Small, slim, and beautiful.
Shadow sniffed her and suddenly got really excited. She did the same and got just as excited as him. They made all kinds of noises as they jumped around each other.
"Do you know her Shadow?" Frida asked as she sat down. Her dragon nodded his head as he jogged over to her. The female came over and breathed a warm air in Frida's face.
Frida coughed a little.
"She is my sister," a voice said inside of her head. She turned but couldn't see anyone. "I am talking stupid."
Frida turned to Shadow. "You are talking to me?" She asked, he nodded. "So you are siblings. That is cool. Why are you here?" Frida asked.
"A man named Grimmel sent me here to bring the alpha to him. I don't understand why he just set me free. I have no reason to go back to him, but the Night Fury is quite handsome," the female said and Frida felt a chill run down her back.
"Don't say that," Shadow grumbled annoyed.
"I am pretty sure Grimmel has a plan, be careful," Frida said. "You shouldn't even be out on the surface. How did they catch you?"
"I was just taking a stroll one day when dragon hunters caught me. I was unlucky, but it is the first and only time it has happened. And don't worry, I was far away from the nest," the female dragon reassured.
Frida nodded and looked up. It wasn't dark but they should head back. "We should head back soon," Shadow whined at her statement. "We can stay for a little while. Hang out with your sister," Frida said.
Shadow licked her deeply and went to play with his sister. She could hear snippets of their conversation. The female asked where he had been all of these years, how he lost his tail, why he was with a human and many other silly things. Shadow responded to everything while asking a few questions himself.
