Toothless's first date

A/N: 500 reads!!!!!! I love you all so much you have no idea. I hope you enjoy this, a little short, but still.

Toothless slept with Hiccup in the tent they had set up earlier. He suddenly woke up by the sound of something walking outside of the tent.

He walked out, readying himself to fight, but what met him was two dark blue eyes. He found himself entranced by them.

"Hello," the dragon in front of him said.

Toothless tried to say something but nothing came out. The dragon chuckled. She then began to walk away. Toothless, afraid he might have done something, quickly followed her. He wanted to say something but the dragon just kept walking.

They played a little with each other in the makeshift village the other Vikings had made, which at one point led Toothless to bump his head and leaving himself embarrassed.

After a while of playing the other dragon began to walk out of the village. She didn't fly, she stayed on the ground so he could keep up.

After he had followed her for a long time they came to a beach. The other dragon flew down and settled in the sand and waited for him to come down.

Toothless wanted to impress her, so he did something stupid. He puffed out his chest and began to walk without being careful of where he put his foot, which caused him to slip and fall down the slope of sand.

He quickly regained his posture and smiled at the female. She chuckled at his attempt at being proper.

She then moved around in a circle while flapping her wings. Then, she settled down in the sand and motioned for him to do something.

Toothless looked up and saw Hiccup. He flapped his arms like wings and nodded his head.

Toothless flapped his wings once while jumping off the ground. The female on the ground didn't seem impressed but she waited patiently for him.

He looked up at Hiccup again who made a weird motion with his arms while wiggling upwards. A branch broke and the female in front of Toothless turned to the sound.

Toothless smiled an awkward smile. He then began to flap his wings rapidly up and down, which caused him to hover over the ground and fly over to the waiting female sitting in the sand.

He spun around a few times before stopping and spilling sand on the female in front of him. She sneezed which caused a little sand to cover Toothless's nose.

She laughed and licked it off.

"Bleh. I am not doing that again," she said as she stuck her tongue out which now had some sand on it. She looked at Toothless again who stood there with a confused expiration on his face. She had just licked his nose after he had sprayed her with sand.

"You are cute," she said as she walked away from him. "Considering you don't know the mating ritual, show me something you like," she said. She laid down in the sand a little bit away from him and waited for him to do something.

Toothless thought back. What did he like? He liked to draw. He began looking for a stick and found a pretty big one and began to draw.

The female was watching him intently as he drew. He stopped a few times to look at her face but quickly continued drawing.

After a little while, he finished. It was a simple drawing of the female. She stood up and looked at it.

"It is amazing," she said. She went to walk over to him but stepped on the line in the sand. Toothless growled what he had done to Hiccup all those years back. The female quickly walked back eyes wide as she tried to figure out what she had done wrong. Toothless returned to normal and was about it apologize when she stepped carefully on the line again. Toothless growled again, and she retreated her leg. She understood the game.

The female began to carefully step over the lines in the drawing until she reached him. They were quite close now. Toothless could see all the different shades of blue in the female's eyes.

"I'm Star," the female said.

"I'm Toothless," Toothless said finally finding his voice.

They stared at each other for a long time before Star playfully shoved his side and flew into the air. Toothless wanted to follow. He spread his wings and jumped of a nearby rock, but he was painfully reminded of his missing tail fin as he came crashing down in the water.

Star flew down to the rock right beside the water and looked at him with a concerned expression.

"You can't fly?" She asked.

"I can, but..." Toothless showed her his tail.

"My brother has the same," she said. Toothless wanted to ask about her brother, but before he could, she jumped into the water and began swimming in circles around him. "Try and catch me!" She said as she began to swim faster. Toothless began swimming after her and they played like this for a good hour.

After they were done, they both got out and shook themselves dry. Toothless looked up to the treasure where Hiccup previously stood. He wasn't there now. He must have gone back to the village.

"Do you want to come to the village with me?" Toothless blurted out. As much as he might want to leave with Star, he couldn't abandon his friend. Hiccup and he were soulmates, not romanticaly, but still. And he was not going to leave her, not even for this dragon.

Star looked at him for a long time, almost as if searching him for if he was telling the truth. She looked deep in thought for a while.

"Ok," she finally said. Toothless felt the happiness bubble up in him. He jumped around her and licked her cheek and... Oh Thor he licked her cheek.

"I am sorry. I-I just got happy and..." He was cut off by Star licking his nose.

"Are you going to show me to the village or not?"
