Frida and Shadow flew for a long time, wanting to get as far away from Berk in case Hiccup decided he was going to slit her throat anyways.

"I want to sleep," Shadow complained as he dropped in altitude.

"I know but, but we need to continue, we can't just sleep in the middle of the ocean," Frida reasoned.

"I can," he said annoyed.

"I can't and I am so very sorry that I am not letting you get sleep. But I also want to get away from Berk in case anyone there decides they want to come after us. I want to keep my head on my neck," Frida said as she scratched Shadow behind the head.

Shadow grumbled but didn't say anything.

They stayed silent for a while before Frida broke the silence. "I messed up."

"You did," Shadow said.

"I don't know what I thought was going to happen," Frida continued.

"You wished that Eret would be nice and not spill your secrets in such a harsh way. He was really harsh though. Don't believe everything he said little one. You were controlled for most of them," Shadow tried to comfort her.

"That is the problem, I was controlled for most, but those few I wasn't, I did what I would have done if I was controlled. I am still a monster," she said as she bowed her head.

"You are not a monster. If I remember correctly I was being threatened those times you weren't controlled. So, technically you were still controlled," Shadow said.

Frida couldn't disagree with him on that. He was right.

"Thanks, bud," Frida said. She waited for some sort of affirmation but none came. She suddenly felt the air pressure change. They were falling.

She shook Shadow, but he stayed still. She saw a boat and knew exactly what had happened, and it was inevitable.

Frida threw the bag of her belongings onto the ship just as she and Shadow hit the water painfully. She could feel her arm break at the impact and she hoped Shadow was ok.

She looked around under the water and saw a net cover them both. They were slowly hoisted up on a boat. Frida panted once she was out of the water. She quickly loosened her leg and slid off Shadow.

She went to check on him, but he was snoring loudly so he was clearly ok.

"Lazy dragon," Frida said.

She suddenly felt herself being hoisted up and she was met with two amber eyes.

"Who are you?" The person spoke in a thick accent. Frida examined them. It was a woman. "I said, who are you?" The woman repeated. Frida stayed silent. A hand slapped her cheek and she stumbled backward. "I will not repeat myself," the woman said.

"Rider," Frida said.

The woman narrowed her eyes. She then pulled up Frida's shirt and searched her abdomen. When she didn't find anything, she turned to her back.

"Aha. You shouldn't tell lies, Frida the dragon traitor," the woman said.

Frida felt herself go red. She despised that title.

"I think your father will be quite happy when we bring you to him," she continued. "Load them up!" She shouted to the people on the boat. A few men came over and tried to lift Shadow, with of course didn't work. "Tell your lazy lizard to wake up!"

Frida walked over to Shadow, feeling like a dog being told what to do. "Bud, you need to wake up," she said as she pulled a little at his ears. He groaned. "We are captured and I am pretty sure they will kill me if you don't wake up."
