Two weeks had flown by. Arthur was pacing in the throne room. His angry temper could be heard throughout the castle.

"How did we lose knights to capture once again?! How?!"

"I don't know sire. They should have been more careful. We know Morgana has them."

Arthur clenched his fists and glared at Merlin.

"I know Merlin! Only because she left a trap with it written all over it!"

The room went silent when something smacked the wall. The door to the throne room was cracked open. Arthur sighed.

"Mercedes. I know you were listening. Come in."

She slowly walked into the room. Merlin was not pleased. He knew what she was about to do.

"I'm sorry... I just.."

Arthur laughed.

"You want to come."

Merlin stepped closer to her. He shook his head. His eyes were like that of a father.

"No. We are actually going to Morgana's fortress. It's dangerous."

Arthur gently pushed Merlin back. He gave him a calm expression.

"Merlin..."

"No! Arthur she barely got lucky last time!"

Merlin instantly turned to face his sister.

"That's why you want to go! You want to see him again..."

Mercedes huffed.

"I can help and yeah... maybe I do want to see him again. We don't know why he's there. She could be hurting him. We have to try to rescue him. He could tell us what Morgana is up to. If I go, I can convince Mordred to leave with us."

"You should have killed him when you had the chance."

Mercedes stared at her brother in complete shock. She remembered everything. Especially that night. She would have been hurt worse if it wasn't for Mordred. Arthur shook his head.

"He showed us kindness."

"He was leading us to our deaths!"

"He saved me!"

The room was once again silent. She could feel their stares. She didn't want to look up from the ground.

"We've talked about this. He was practically enjoying watching you suffer and playing with your emotions."

Arthur raised his hand to stop Merlin. Merlin finally noticed a tear rolling down her cheek. She slowly stepped forward.

"Mercedes...?"

She wiped her tear and finally lifted her gaze.

"You were a right brother. Something did happen that night... But I swear to you it's not what you want to believe. Mordred didn't do it..."

Arthur gently held her chin.

"What happened?"

She sighed turning away. A few moments later she turned back around.

"The night we spent in that small village... I couldn't sleep after watching all those people die. I went for a walk through the houses. I had hoped it would make me tired. I- I was attacked..."

Merlin pulled Mercedes slightly closer. He gently held her arm.

"You were hurt?"

"The man that wouldn't leave me alone... He came out of the house he was in. He had noticed me. He tried to make me... have sex with him."
