Kalypso gently nudged Mercedes's face with her nose. Mordred chuckled.

"Silly girl. Let her be. I'll wake her up as soon as breakfast is ready."

Kalypso shook her head and laid it back down. Mordred's eyes fell on Mercedes. She was breathing softly and still asleep. He smiled. Gawain tapped him on the shoulder.

"Breakfast is ready."

Mercedes slowly opened her eyes and quickly shut them tightly. Mordred chuckled slightly and moved to block the sun.

"Oh, I'm sorry."

Mercedes opened her eyes and yawned. She slowly sat up and rubbed her eyes. Kalypso neighed and stood to her feet. Mercedes gave Mordred a tired smile. He chuckled and smiled.

"I got breakfast for you?"

Mordred held a plate in front of her. Mercedes groggily reached her hand forward and took the plate from his hand. Mordred gently brushed her hair out of Mercedes's face and kissed her forehead.

"I'm going to take Kalypso to get her ready. I'll be back. I know you just woke up and are still sleepy, but eat your breakfast, please."

Mercedes slowly nodded. Mordred stood to his feet and paused.

"Please eat all of it. Not just the peach. I want you to have your energy."

Mercedes groaned before yawning again. Mordred chuckled and leaned down to kiss the top of her head.

"Don't complain. Just eat your breakfast. I love you sleepy and grumpy lady."

Their horses were brought to a stop upon reaching what seemed to be a campsite. The campsite was nestled in between two high cliffs. Arthur looked around.

"This must be where they've set up. They're probably close by. Let's check it out, but be careful."

Mordred leaned back shocked as Mercedes quickly jumped from Kalypso. Everyone else followed. Mercedes paused.

"The fire was freshly put out. They have to still be close."

Arthur nodded.

"Be careful."

Mercedes walked behind a tree and froze with a gasp. A tall man with shoulder-length brown hair leaned against the back of the tree.

"Well now... aren't you a pretty thing."

Mercedes backed away and instantly drew the sword at her side. The man chuckled as he slowly followed her. Mercedes quickly ran back into the middle of the campsite.

"Guys..."

Mercedes froze. All swords were drawn and they were surrounded. Mercedes instantly turned around when the man chuckled again.

"Come on. A woman with a sword?"

Mercedes kept a firm glare. Mordred and Merlin both kept their eyes on Mercedes. The man extended his hand.

"You're such a pretty girl. Come on. Put that down before you hurt yourself."

Mercedes huffed.

"I know how to use a sword jackass!"

The man growled through his teeth. He took a step forward.

"Why you little..."

"Don't take one more step towards her. You will regret it."
