29- Let's take it slow

Vidyut pov:

"Mom....mom.............mom........ Radhika..... Radhika" I searched for her when I reached home.

"What is it Vidyut?" She asked coming out of her room rubbing her eyes.

"Did I wake you up? Why are you sleeping this early, old lady?" I asked in a sarcastic tone making her eyes widen up in shock.

"Seems like my son is happy tonight. What is it?" She asked.

"How can you tell? Is it that obvious?" I asked sitting down on the couch.

"Oh yeah, very much. Because it's 10pm already and you call it early to sleep, whereas you ask me to sleep by 8:30 pm every night. And most importantly, you called me by name after years." She said making me smile. She knows me the best on earth.

"Look at you smiling like a fool.... tell me. Has this got anything to do with Manvi?" She asked and I nodded my head.

"Come sit next to me." I said tapping the place next to me on the couch.

"She-" I started when she sat next to me but her question interrupted me.

"Did you guys get back together?" She asked casually, leaving me taken aback in shock.

"Mom......" I said breathing out heavily.

"Am I right?" She asked curiously.

"You are." I said smiling.

"I know this would happen. My prayers have never went in vain." She said smiling wide. Her happy face made me even more happier.

"Hey Akshaya" I sent a message to her when I reached my room.

"Yeah, tell me" She replied in a minute.

"Shall we meet somewhere. My treat." I replied.

"Is this even you? It's 11 Vidyut." She replied.

"I know. But..... I feel like meeting you? Are you free?"

"Oh yeah sure. Where shall we meet?" She asked.

"The same club, maybe?"

"Ok." With that I kept my phone down to go and freshen up.

Akshaya pov:

"I reached the club." I texted him once I parked my car in the parking lot.

"I am already here inside. Come in." He replied in a minute. With that I took my hand bag and started walking inside. The club was  much less crowded than the weekends but the smell of alcohol was still high in the air.

"Hey" I said patting him on the shoulder.

"I am so happy tonight Akshaya" he said giving me a tight hug. I knew what he meant by that. Ofcourse, Manvi updated everything until she went to the spot.

"I know....." I said happyly hugging him back.

We sat on the bar chairs after releasing from the hug.

"So tell me.... what happened?" I asked.

"She proposed today...... out of no where. I did not even expect that." He said, his eyes shinning with happiness.

"I know all that. It was me who helped her all along."

"And you din't want to even give me a hint?" He asked.
