Stay Away

31- Still feels like a dream

Yesh Pov:

"You liked the movie? You did not seem very focused on it." Akshaya said as we walked out of the theater.

"You can't blame me. I had other interesting stuffs to look at." I said and she giggled.

I kept looking at her the entire time. Just few scenes of the movie reached me.

"Fine. Now where shall we go?" She asked.

"What do you want to eat?" I asked.

"Hmmmm..... Pizza?"

"Fine. Let's go." I said.

"So.... let us be serious for some time. I have something to ask you." She said as she took a bite from her pizza. She looked damn cute making it difficult for me to take my eyes off her.

"Sure. Ask." I said taking out a tissue and bending forward to wipe of the cheese on her lips.

"Yesh..... don't divert me. We have to talk." She said as her cheeks turned crimson.

"Fine. Tell me..... what shall we talk about?" I asked.

"Apart from the fact that your name is Yeshwanth and that you have a car.... I know nothing about you."

"Yeah same here."

"So.... let's make it this way..... I will go first.... whatever I share about myself, you will share the same about you next. Fine?" She asked.

"Cool. We shall do that." I said as I took a bite from my pizza.

"Let us not get too personal as it is the 1st try and you have the right to avoid any question." She said looking serious.

"You can ask me anything, Akshaya." I said.

"Still..... it is up to you. I won't force you."

"Fine. Start."

"Hmmmm ..... I did my schooling and college in Chennai. I wanted to be a doctor when I was a kid but turned out to be a business woman as I grew up." She said.

"I did my schooling in Bangalore and college in Chennai. I had always dreamt about being a Hockey player and I am a Hockey player today." I said and her jaws dropped in shock.

"You play hockey?" She asked and I nodded my head.

"Yes.... why? You don't like it?"

"No.....not like that. I am just surprised. Wow Yesh..... you seem more interesting now." She said and I giggled.

"Fine next.... what shall I tell you about.... hmmm... ok my friends.... I don't have many friends. Just a small circle and Vidyut is the closest one. He is more like my family." She said and I nodded my head.

"I have a lot of friends. My circle has always been big... school, college, hockey team and a lot more." I said.

"Nice. Now it's your turn. Tell me something first and I will follow." She said.

"Fine. My family consists of me, mother, father and my younger brother. They are all still in Bangalore. I visit them when I find time."

"Cool. My family has only me and my Dad. Mom passed away when I was 11 years old. Dad never wanted to re-marry as he thought it was not fare for mum. So yeah.... just the 2 of us."
She said and I panicked.

"I am sorry Akshaya. I did not mean to bring back ......"

"It's fine. You should know about it some day or the other." She said.
