Vidut pov:

"Sir its already too late. Why din't you leave? Your mother would be waiting for you." Aravind, my assistant said.
I looked at my watch and it showed 10:45 pm. Realisation hit me that I was too late and my mother would be waiting for me.

"Why did you not inform me about the time before? You very well know about my mother right. Ok I am leaving now. You take all my files and keep them in the proper place. Make sure that you reach home soon." I said and left the place without any further delay.

I rushed down through the private lift and ran to my car. But when I reached my car I found my driver asleep in the back seat of the car.

'Should I disturb him now?

I decided not to disturb him and took the driver seat. I drove the car back home having my driver asleep in my back seat. A smile crept on my face when I thought about the fact that a boss driving a car having his driver in the back seat asleep.
I drove the car as fast as possible.

'I guess the servants would have closed the front door and gone for a sleep by now assuming that I won't come.' I thought.

When I reached my house surprisingly I found the front door still wide open.
'Are the servants still awake??'

Moreover I found a pair of girl slippers near the door.

'Servants would never leave their slippers here. Then who's is this??'

With lot of confusion in my mind I entered the house.

I found all the servents very busy working at night. They even ignored my presence.

'What is happening over here?
Why are things so strange today?'

Keeping aside my thoughts I directly headed towards my mother's room to check weather she was still awake waiting for me.

'What would be the reason for the sour feel I had? Did anything happen to mother?' I had a thought on the way to her room.

"Oh no." I shouted and ran towards her room. But I stopped near the door hearing my mom talking to someone else in this late night.

"He had been my single hope of life since his dad passed away." She said.

"My only reason for survival is to see him being healthy and happy. I have been with him in all his phases of life....." she continued.

'Who is she talking to?'

"His wealth, this big bungalow, so many cars standing outside, these many servants never matter for me. All these can never be the reason behind happiness."

'What is just going on over here?'

"Good heart and pure love is needed to have happiness in life. And all his happiness lies in Your Hands." She finally said followed by absolute silence. I wondered to whom she was talking.
After the brief silence I heared my mom trying up again.

"Listen ma-" but she was cut by a voice ---
"Don't strain yourself aunty. Take rest."

"What you think would never happen."

"Have your medicines properly and take care of yourself. It is already late so I am leaving now. Bye aunty. " said the voice. I stood still. Freezed in my place.
I heared foot steps nearing the door and there came the person whom I longed to meet the whole day.

I was surprised to see Manvi in my house after so many years. But she froze as she saw me over there. Maybe she din't expect me there at that time. She stood still. I stared at her dark blue eyes. I could still find love hidden deep in her eyes.
She stood there without any word until I managed to say "Hello madam! what are you doing here?".

"Hello Mr. Shah. I found your mother in the street today while I started back home from your office. We were talking and she suddenly said that she feels so weak and would faint any second. Her condition grew worse. So I took her to the hospital near by and we just now returned back home. Nothing to worry. The medicines are on the table. Ask her to take the medicines properly and have complete rest. Bye." She said and stepped out crossing me.

"Thank you so much for your great help. I would never forget this in my life." I said followed by my mother saying " When you can never forget her in your life how can you forget her such a big help?"
Her words made me giggle.

"Ok I think it's time for me to leave. Bye." Manvi said avoiding what my mother just said.

"You need not go alone at this time. I will ask my driver to drop you at your house. " I said just for a formality knowing very well she would not accept and also that my driver is already asleep.

"No thanks Mr. Shah. I have my own driver waiting for me." She said and left the place. I walked inside my mom's room with a smile on my face.

"How are you ma? Why did no one inform me about your condition?"

"But do you know something ? I had my instinct telling from evening that something bad was going on around me. Anyways thank god that nothing happend big."

"I am alright and no need to worry. I only said everyone in the house not to inform you about this. I know you would get worried. You may get diverted from your work. Anyways, leave that. Is Manvi working in your office? Why did you not tell me about this?" She questioned me with curiosity written all over her face.

"No ma, she is not working under me. As you know she is a journalist and have come to my office to write an article about my life. She will be here for the next two weeks." I said.

"Ohh. But then there is no need for her to come to your office to know about you. I think she can do it on her own. No one in this world except me knows you better than the way she does." She said with a smirk on her face.

"Yeah...... But then I am happy that she is here in my life again. I consider this as my 2nd and final chance to get her back in my life."

"Mr. Shah, she has come into your life only officially. Not personally...... Remember that." She said and started laughing out loud.

'Is she kidding me at this late night?'

"Ma I think it's better if you sleep now. It's getting late. Good night."
I moved closer and gave her the blanket. She smiled and said

"Good night."

I came out, had my dinner and headed to my room. I refreshed myself before going to sleep. I slept well after so many years.

For me it was a real GOOD NIGHT.......
