Manvi POV:

"Ok fine...... I will make it up...... Ok Ok.... fine Vid.... I am sorry..... already on my way to the bathroom... I am sorry....." I said slowly moving from my bed.

"How can you sleep till now Maan.... you know how important today is......" He said at the other end of the call.

"Yes sir, I am sorry...... was a little held up with work last night."

"Oh..... you ok? If you want, you can rest... we can plan it some other time...." He said with concern.

"It's ok... I can make it in time if you cut the call now." I said giggling.

"Ok fine. See you soon." He said giggling and hung up the call.

I pulled up my hair in a bun and walked inside the bathroom. The girl in the mirror still seemed slim and weak. The only one thing which is evidently different is that she is happier than ever before.

The smile on my face was strong enough to prove that I am happier than ever before. It felt like things were falling in place and that my life has gained meaning again.

Vidyut POV:

She walked out of her house in orange short top and a white palazzo, neither too grand nor too simple, just perfect for the day.

She smiled the moment she noticed my presence.

"Looking breath taking, as ever" She said making me smile.

"Thanks Manvi."

"Am I underdressed or something? Should I change before we start?" She asked when she noticed my formals. At that moment I felt like I was dressed as if I am about to attend a board meeting or something.

"I think I should only change.... I look like I am going to my office." I said giggling.

"Oh Oh..... You look perfect. Don't worry.... Shall we start?"

"Sure..... get in" I said holding the car door for her.

"Are you sure about not telling me where we are heading?"

"Very sure...." I said giggling.

-----------

"We are here. " I said slowly waking her up. She dossed off halfway through the ride. I did not dare to disturb her as I knew she would be tired.

"Oh..... when did I even sleep?" She said slowly waking up from her nap. The way she rubbed her eyes did things to me that I can't even explain. I looked away from her before I would do something stupid.

"Seems like we are on a lunch date. Sounds interesting..... Are we on a lunch date Vid?" She asked as she looked at the restaurant in front of us.

"Maybe.... Maybe not." I said giggling.

"Fine... what ever. You head inside first. Let me fix my make up before I join you." She said.

"You know that you still look perfect right?" I said before bending down to kiss her cheek.

"Aww..... stop being this cheesy.... it's been years since having you this close. Give me some time to adjust." She said smiling.

"Better get used to it at the earliest. We don't have much time. I can't waste time anymore, waiting for you to adjust." I said.

"Sure. Now head in. I will join you shortly." She said opening the car door and walking straight to the toilet.

"Haa...... this is going to be a great day." I said to myself , checking on the ring box I had inside my coat. I walked inside the restaurant and nodded my head towards Akshaya and Yeshwanth standing at the other end. I trusted them. They would just do it right.

We walked up the stairs to the roof top. All the decorations were perfect and.....

"Where is my mother?" I asked when I noticed that she was not there.

"She said she forgot something in car. Would be here any minute." Akshaya said.

I nodded and went forward to greet Manvi's parents who were seated on the bar stool enjoying each other's company. I always wished we would have a life as simple, perfect and lovely as them.

"Hey dear. You look so good. " Manvi's mother said as I greeted them.

"Thanks aunty. I wish to have your blessings." I said bending down to touch their feet.

"Our blessings are always with you dear. We are so happy that you guys are back together." Uncle said and I smiled at it.

It was a bit awkward when I first got to know yesterday that they had idea about our relationship. When I went to their house yesterday to ask for their permission and to invite them for today's event..... all that they said was...

"You guys think that we are blind or what? We have known this for years now. We just wanted you guys to come up with it."

 I giggled at the memory.

"Let us all wait for her to come up. She might be here any minute." I said.

Manvi' POV:

"You should have told me... you are making me walk now..." I said as I stepped out of the door to the roof top.

"I am -" I stopped mid way when I noticed what I had in front of me.

The whole place was beautifully decorated. Mom, dad, Akshaya, Yeshwanth, Aunty and Vid.... all were there smiling at me beamingly.

Vidyut stood at the center and nodded his head asking me to come forward. I slowly walked in still processing what was happening around me.

"I do not know how to talk romantically.... I do not even know how to describe how important you are to me. I just hope that you understand my feelings. These years without you showed me how terrible life would be without you. So.... " He said slowling bringing out the ring box from his coat.

"Will you be my wife?" He asked bending down on his knee.

What does this guy even mean when he said he doesn't know how to be romantic??????

I felt too many emotions at the same time. It took me by great surprise. I had no energy to move. My knees felt weak.

"Will you?" He asked in a teasing tone this time making me realise that I had not answered him yet. I looked around at the people next to us.

All were super excited for my answer.

I raised my eyebrows at my mother asking her for her opinion. She nodded her head and dad was smiling brightly. That was all that I needed.

"Sure idiot." I said as tears escaped my eyes. I bent down next to him and cupped his face.

"Thanks for everything. Thanks for waiting. Thanks for having faith in me. Thanks for understanding me. Thanks for loving me all the while." I said and kissed his cheek.

His smile made the whole scene even better. He nodded at what I just said and pulled out the ring from the box.

"You like this?" He asked as he pushed it up my finger.

"The pretiest." I giggled.
