The poem is entitled, In Another Life, My Moon and it was written by Princess Astra. It was dedicated to her secret lover, a royal chef. If you want to read the poem, go back to Lara's chapters and the epilogue, the italicized words, before the chapter starts, are the lines of the poem.
I am a fan of Paulo Coelho's works especially Brida which inspired me to write this book. I believe that probably why we can't comprehend love is because we have memories of our past love buried deep in our unconsciousness but still have effects on our current love tendencies. Not only in love but it also manifests in our everyday life tendencies. The mind forgets but the heart will always remember.
