Sixteen: Some Friends Are Like Coins: Two-faced

~Bri~

Its been two weeks since me and Christofer got back together. And what a two weeks its been. Between our Twitters blowing up, more rumors starting, and NewScene cameras practically riding on my back, I’m shocked I haven’t smacked the shit out of someone yet. But oh, there have been times that I’ve wanted to real bad. Especially when the little girls -that are STILL starting shit at shows, by the way- Tweet me about how much of a whore I am. Like really, get the fuck off my Twitter, hop out of my life, read a damn book. Seriously, if you’re starting shit on Twitter with people who are actually making something of themselves, your rights for being a bitch have been REVOKED.

I scrolled through my Twitter, sitting on the floor with my legs crossed as I ate an apple. “Dumb bitches.” I mumbled to myself,  biting into the apple as I hit the home button. I had to hit it three times before it actually exited the app. Why the hell did I let Christofer talk me into letting him get me this damn iPhone? I love it, but it pisses me off sometimes.

Speaking of Christofer, he and ‘EATMEWHILEIMHOT’ are currently filming one of their videos. Its seriously odd to hear him scream. But its strangely hot. Like really, I feel like a fucking weirdo for even thinking like this, but his screams are turning me on. I have major problems, I know.

Lost in my deep thoughts and apple eating, I didn’t even notice Taylor was standing next to me, talking about something. I wasn’t listening until I heard, “Can we tie you to a chair?” come out of his mouth.

“Whoa, what?” I asked, finally snapping back into reality.

He rolled his eyes. “Can we--”

I held my hand up, cutting him off. “No, I heard you the first time, Tay. But hell no. Being tied to things is where I draw the line. That’s too fucking kinky for me, man.”

“Its for the damn video you freak!” Taylor pushed against my side with his foot, making me drop my apple and phone as my back hit the floor softly. See how sweet Christofer‘s band members are? Just sugar, spice and everything fucking nice.

“Don’t play! I will rip the little mustache right off your pale face, good sir!”  I screamed when I got onto my feet, pushing against his chest.

He rolled his eyes. “Can you even reach my face, munchkin?”

My jaw dropped. No he didn’t just go there. It’s not my fault I stopped growing when I was ten! Goddamn these tall fuckers with their long ass legs. “Screw you, MacFee!”

“Screw you too, Thomas!” he yelled back, walking toward the set where Chris and Hayden were playing with a plastic toy they got from Goodwill earlier. What dorks. Playing with a damn toy. Why am I friends with these people again? “Missed you and your insults, old friend. Good to have you back, BriBri.”

“Missed your comebacks, man. And its good to be back, Tay.” I told him with a smile, blowing an over-exaggerated kiss in his direction. We may have just had a yelling match, but it was all in good fun. I really did miss these guys. All of them. Even the roadies are my friends. “I’m gonna end up attacking him mid scream, I swear…” I mumbled to myself as Christofer screamed into the mic, testing it. Why is it so attractive to me?!

“Bri!” Paul yelled into my ear, causing me to jump in shock. Why is he so damn loud?! I mean, I guess it’s get back for all the times I’ve yelled at him. Man, I remember the first time I met Paul. It was at dinner with Christofer back when I disliked him. Paul probably thinks Chris is insane for dating a girl who hated him. And his face, as I once stated. “Bri!” he yelled again when I didn’t answer.

“Huh? What, man?” I asked, wiping the drool off of my face. Yes. I am literally drooling at the site of my boyfriend screaming and head banging. Am I mentally stable? Probably not. But then again, are any hardcore kids really mentally stable? I think not.

Paul narrowed his eyes, giving me a slight side glare. “What that boy sees in you--”

“Is a mystery. I know.” I told Paul, looking back at Christofer. “It boggles my mind too, Paul. It boggles my mind too.” I shook my head. I wonder every day why Chris picked me over the billion other girls he could’ve had. Me. Bri. The one who hated him. The pale, boney, knock-kneed girl who’s covered in scars and odd tattoos. How did I get so damn lucky? “Anyway, what’d ya need?”

He smiled at me, patting the top of my head. Why does everyone do that? “Someone from NewScene is here to see you.”

My eyes immediately snapped from Christofer to Paul. “What? Who?” I questioned. What the hell? Who from NewScene would drive all the way out here to see me? They have to be here to start some shit. Its probably about me publicly calling them out. They were pretty butt hurt over that.

“Blonde chick. I think she said her name was Lana or Lottie or something.” Paul shrugged, walking towards the door. “Should I tell her to come in?”

“Lauren. And yeah.” I said. “Tell her to come right on in.” I gave Paul a sneaky smirk as he walked out. I could already feel the evil wheels turning in my head. I could probably kick her ass and get away with it here. Everyone would back me up on whatever story I decide to make up…Hmm…

“Bri?” a light voice said from behind me.

I mentally barfed. I can’t stand her voice on tv, and its just THAT much worse in person. Goddamn. “Yeah. That would be me.” I said, turning around to face her, my arms crossed. I tired my hardest to give her my ‘don’t start no shit’ face. “What is it you need?”

Lauren took a few steps closer, sighing as she looked around, stopping to stare at Christofer. She clearly didn’t realize he was here. But whatever. She can look all she wants. She just better pray Ronnie or Alex don’t stop by or they may break her neck. “I wanted to talk to you about something important.”

“About what, exactly?” I questioned, moving my hands to my hips. “About how you ruined my relationship? Or how you pinned bullshit allegations on the man who saved my life? Or better yet, how about we just talk about how you talked so much shit that I relapsed, and nearly died?”

Lauren’s face softened, making her look like an actual human for once. “That’s also why I’m here. I was honestly just doing my job, but I know I didn’t have to be so harsh. I guess…” she shook her head, laughing lightly. “I guess I was jealous of you, your life, your friend. I always get to interview these amazing people, and be with them for a few minutes. But you?” she shook her head, waving her hand at me. “You get to be close to them and actually get to know them. I envy that and I’m so sorry for everything I said and did.”

My jaw nearly dropped at her words. Lauren was jealous all this time? That’s why she did that? Well ain’t this some shit. “Well, that’s a start.” I told her. Honestly, I more so wanted her to apologize to Christofer. He was the one who really got hurt from this. She needs to apologize to Ronnie too. She didn’t have to drag him into this shit. “Is that what you wanted to tell me?” I asked, cocking an eyebrow at the look on her face. She looked like she was in a rush. “You look like you’re late for something.”

“Yeah. An interview down the street. That‘s why I stopped by.” she said, looking at her watch. “But I wanted to tell you something else. About who was feeding me the inside details. I think you, and everyone else, deserves to know one of your friends can’t be trusted.”

I frowned at her. “And why should I believe you?”

She put a piece of paper in my hand before walking back toward where she came from. “Believe me because, we wouldn’t have known a thing, if it wasn’t for the name written on that paper. It‘ll make sense when you read it.” she was nearly gone, but stopped to look at me again. “It was nice to meet you, Bri. You seem like a great person.”

I smile slightly as she left. That‘s probably the last time I will ever see her in person. I can’t say I’m too upset about that. Honestly, she’s not that bad though. But I don’t think we’ll ever really be on good terms. Too much shit has happened for that. “Her hair is amazing in person though.” I mumbled to myself before looking down at the folded paper.

Then I nearly screamed.

The name of person on this paper is the spy. The one who told her everything Ronnie and I did, the person who sold us out, the person who’s been lying about being our friend since day one. And the worst part is…I actually believe it. I believe because, the name on this paper, is exactly the person who always knows everyone’s business. “SON OF A BITCH!” I screamed, throwing the paper on the ground. How did I not know before? All the sighs were right in front of my fucking face. “I’m gonna rip that fucker to shreds.”

----

I ripped open FIR’s bus door with more force than I thought was possible for me. I guess you really do get super strength when you’re extremely pissed. “MIKA!” I scream and I stormed through their bus, pushing anything and anyone in my path. “Mika!” I screamed again, searching the bus for him.

“Yo?” Mika answer, sticking his head around the corner. “You look like you’re coming to commit a murder.”

I smiled halfheartedly before lunging at him. “I am you lousy, lying, fake ass, double crossing, bitch!” I yelled, squeezing his neck tighter with each word. All I can see is red. This is the mother fucker responsible for all the goddamn rumors and lies. He’s responsible for all the bullshit I went through. He’s responsible for every single second of pain I felt. And all for what? For a few dollars? Selling out your friend’s secrets is the lowest of the low. I would sooner die than sellout my friends. “We’re supposed to be like family, Mika! Is this how you treat your fucking family?! Is it?!” I screamed, hitting his head against the wall behind him. Yes. I am out for blood.

“Whoa! Whoa!” Ryan and Derek yelled as they ran to the back of the bus to see what was going on. Lucky for Mika, they pulled me off just as his face was starting to change colors. “What the hell is going on right now?!” Derek yelled at me.

Mika backed up, catching his breath. “She’s tired to kill me!”

“Damn right I did!” I scream, pulling against Ryan’s arms as I tired to get to Mika again. I swear I will kill that bitch for the shit he did. He not only fucked up my life, but he fucked up Christofer’s too. And he nearly fucked up Ronnie’s. He sold out his own band member. There is no forgiveness for this kind of treachery. “Let me go, please, Ryan! Let me at him! That fucker betrayed me! He betrayed us all!”

Derek gave Mika a questioning look. Mika returned the look, but his was laced in pure panicked. Mika knew I’d found out about him selling lies and making me and Ronnie look bad. It was written all over his face. Mika knew this was the end for him. “What is she talking about, Mika?” Derek asked, crossing his arms. “Mika? What is she talking about?” he asked against when Mika didn’t answer.

“What’s going on?” Jacky asked as he and Ronnie walked onto the bus with confused faces. “Why are you holding Bri like that?”

Ryan shrugged. “She tried to strangle Mika.”

Ronnie cracked a laugh at that. Of course he’d find that funny. “Can’t say I’m shocked. What did he do now?”

“That’s what we’re trying to figure out.” Derek answered, rolling his eyes before turning back to Mika with disapproving eyes. Derek knows I’m pretty insane, but he also knows I wouldn’t try to kill someone over something stupid. And yes, I was actually trying to kill Mika. He should thank every Higher Power there is for Derek and Ryan. “Care to explain what Bri is talking about?”

Mika looked like he’d realized the shit he was about to be in. “I don’t know.”

My jaw dropped. “Are you fucking kidding me?!” I screamed, pulling against Ryan’s grip again. I can’t believe he actually said he didn’t know! “You know damn well what you did, Mika! And I promise you’ll be done in the music world once this shit gets out!” And it’s the truth. You can’t sell your bullshit lies about your friends to the media and expect there to be no backlash. When his gets out, Mika is done.

Ronnie frowned, staring at me for a second. “Bri…what did he do?”

I clenched my jaw, knowing Ronnie would probably kick Mika out of the band after he I tell him what happened. And Mika deserves it. He has no right to even finish this tour. We won’t be able to trust him with a goddamn thing now. “He was NewScene’s inside source. He was the spy.” I said in a tone calmer than I thought I was able to muster. “They paid Mika to tell them what we were doing. Everything we were doing. That’s how the rumors of us messing around started, Ronnie. Because he told them about the day under the venue. There was no fan with a backstage pass who over heard me and Christofer’s fight. It was Mika the whole time.” I sighed, finally being released from Ryan’s grip. “He sold us out.”

Silence fell on the FIR bus. No one wanted to be the first one to say anything. Or maybe they didn’t know what to say. Both make sense. Honestly, if one of my band members did this to me, I have no idea what I would do. Its bad enough Mika did it to me, but to Ronnie? His band member? Someone he sees everyday? How awful do you have to be to be able to do that, and then sit in his face like nothing is happening?

“You son of a bitch.” Ronnie said, finally breaking the silence. “Bri almost died over this bullshit, and this because you want some extra money? What the fuck, man? I wouldn’t be this pissed if you woulda told us. But because you didn’t, you need to the get out of here.”

Mika’s jaw dropped. “Ronnie. You’re kicking me out? Just like that?”

“Damn right.” Derek jumped in, arms crossed. “This is some unforgivable shit, Mika. And I back Ronnie in this.”

“I’m with them.” Ryan added before nudging Jacky for his answer. Poor thing looked like a dear in headlights.

“Of course I back Ronnie.” Jacky said, tossing an arm over my shoulder.

I bit my lip, trying to hold back the smile that was threatening to spread across my face. I’m not happy that they’re kicking Mika out. In fact, I hate it. But he had it coming for what he did. I’m about to smile because I realize how much these guys have Ronnie’s back. And mine too.

“I’m calling John.” Mika said, pulling his phone from his pocket.

Ronnie chuckled. “Knock yourself out, man. Have fun explaining what you did to me and Bri.”

“Fuck you, Ronnie.” Mika mumbled, shaking his head. “You’re clearly doing this because you’re still fucking around with Br--”

I was in Mika’s face before he could even blink. “Watch your mouth.” I said, slamming him against the wall. Yes, I am strong enough to beat his ass. Thanks to Ronnie and that Insanity work out. “You have no fucking right to even bring that up. You know I’m with Christofer. Plus, what Ronnie and I used to do with each other has nothing to do with this. This is about what is right and what is wrong.” I gripped his shirt tighter, trying to stop myself from moving to his neck. “And what you did was beyond wrong. So choose your next few words wisely. Because if I decide to ring your neck again, I’m pretty damn sure Ryan and Derek won’t save you this time.”

Mika looked over my shoulder, frowning at the guys before pushing me back a few steps. “I don’t need this shit anyway. I quit.”

“Then get the fuck out.” was the last thing Ronnie said before Mika stormed off the bus.

We all stood there for a few seconds, taking in everything that just happened. FIR just lost their bassist with three weeks of tour left. That’s the worst thing to possibly happen.

“What are we gonna do without a bassist?” Ryan asked, voicing what we were all thinking.

Ronnie just laughed as he pulled out his phone. “I know a guy.”

Author’s Note: Okay, so as you all probably know, Mika Horiuchi left/was kicked out of FIR at some point in 2012. No one knows what happened or why, so this is my version of how it went down. Clearly, there is no truth to it. But hey, seems pretty legit, huh? ;D We’re SO. CLOSE. TO. THE. END. Probably about…hmm…Two more chapters? But there will be another book with A LOT of different bands. So keep an eye out. ;) Also, I know this wasn’t my best chapter. I have a bit of writer’s block for this book, so bare with me please.

For more Falling In Reverse, check out my other book “Reality Check”! Bri and Christofer will be popping up in that book soon. :3
