Seven: All Stories Have An End
~Julz~
“Hey, hey. Keep your eyes open.” Ronnie told Bri when her eyes slid close again, for the fourth time. “Stay with us, baby.”
Bri laughed sadly. “I’m tired, Ronnie. I‘m just so tired.”
“I know.” Ronnie whispered to Bri, unwrapping the bloody towel from her arm. “Thanks, Zack.” he said as he took the fresh towel and wrapped it around her arm. “But you gotta stay awake, okay?” he kissed the top of her head, pushing some of the stray hair away from her forehead. I can’t believe he actually climbed in the tub with her and all that blood. I love Bri, but that is so fucking gross. “You gotta stay with us.”
“Why?” she asked, eyes sliding close a little again before Ronnie shook her. “It’s not worth it.” she whispered, sounding a little out of breath. “I have nothing to live for.”
I squeezed her hand, silently letting her know that I was getting up, before giving Ronnie a nod. Notifying him of the same thing. I knew they needed a minute alone. Plus, I could hear Jacky yelling at the 911 operator because she couldn’t understand what he was saying. His accent gets thinker when he’s upset for some reason.
“Yes you do.” he told her as I got up. “You have your music, your fans, your family.” I heard him says as I closed that door. But I didn’t close it all the way, I left it open a crack and put my ear to it. “Don’t close your eyes, Bri. Don’t you dare give up.” he said, probably shaking her again because I heard his belt scratch the side of the tub. “Fight, Bri. Stay awake. Stay with me.”
“I can’t.” she mumbled back. “I…I…can’t.”
“Yes you can.” he whispered back.
She was silent for a moment. “Sing to me, Ronnie?”
“What?” he asked. “Sing what?”
She laughed, coughing a bit before I heard her wince. Poor thing. “‘I’m Not A Vampire’?”
“Alright.” he chuckled before clearing his throat. “Well, I’m not a vampire but I feel like one. Sometime I sleep all day, because I hate the sun…light. My hands are always shaking, body’s always aching, in the darkness when I feed. Well, I can lure any woman that I want my bed, with me.” he was singing slowly and softly. Which was interesting. “Stay will me, Bri. Say awake.”
With that, I closed the door and walked into the other room. I always knew those two were close. I didn‘t know they were THAT close though. You know, close enough for one to climb in a bloody bathtub with the other. “Where the fuck is the ambulance?!” I screamed at the guys. How long does it take to get a goddamn ambulance to a fucking hotel?!
Ryan rolled his eyes. “The stupid ass operator couldn’t understand Jacky, then he cursed her out. That, she understood.” he glared at Jacky who glared right back.
“Fucking bitch told me that ‘there are more important calls she could be attending to’! Did you not think I was going to give her a piece of my bloody mind?!” he yelled, throwing his phone at the wall. Luckily, it’s a Nokia. Otherwise it would’ve broke.
“Did you tell them it was for Bri Thomas?” I snapped, putting my hands on my hips.
Jacky looked at me like I was an idiot. “What do you think, birdy?”
I rolled my eyes at him and his stupid nickname for women. “Fuck you, and your shoes, Jacky.” I shot back with as much venom as I could.
“I have on Toms. Your argument is invalid.” he responded.
I flipped him off, giving him a bitter smirk as I did so.
“It’s amazing how you two can calmly fight about meaningless shit while our friend is bleeding to death in the bathroom!” Ryan screamed in anger just as the sound of sirens flew through the window. It wasn’t long before the lights were flashing on the walls.
“About damn time!” me and Ryan said together before running into the bathroom to let Bri and Ronnie know.

I took a deep breathing, listening to the music playing in my ears, waiting for my cue. “I just want to go home. This roads’ so cold and I'm alone. I've got my friends, but they don't know. I've lost my soul, I'm made of stone.”
I sighed.
“I’m just so tired. Nothing is real!
I lost my love to the complex, inside me.
I was so mean, to a girl who loved me unconditionally.”
I thought of Bri as I sang those lyrics. I can honestly say I miss her. But I’ll never go back to her. Not while I know she’s happier with Ronnie. I know I was the one who pushed her to the point where she cheated. I practically pushed her into his arms after I was so awful to her. And I knew I was wrong for being that way. I was just so scared that I’d lose her. And look what happened? I ended up losing her anyway.
“Is it so wrong? Is it so wrong?
To be in love. And OH!
Is it so wrong? Is it so wrong?
To be in love, to be in love. I don't know.
Face your heart to the door.
You fooled them once, but now you're sure.
This cold dark road is all you know.
You've got no soul.
You're made of stone.”
That’s when I saw Hayden running into the studio, looking rather distressed. I rolled my eyes at him and continued to sing.
“I'm just so tired.
Nothing is real.
I lost my love to the complex, inside me.
I was so mean, to a girl who loved me unconditionally.
Is it so wrong? Is it so wrong?
To be in love. And OH!
Is it so wrong? Is it so wrong?
To be in love. To be in love. I don't know!
What to do anymore!
The complex heart calls the shots!
I'm just a pawn in this game.
The complex heart,
Makes me so tired…Makes this too real.
I lost my love to the complex, inside me.
I was so mean, to a girl who loved me unconditionally.”
And this point, Hayden was auguring with Bob -the guy who records all the stuff with my manager, Paul- and waving his hands around like a crazy person. I frowned. Why is he acting like that?
“Is it so wrong? Is it so wrong?
To be in love. And OH.
Is it so wrong? Is it so wrong?
To be in love, to be in love. I don't know…”
Just as I finished the song, Hayden came flying through the door, followed by Taylor, Connie, Paul, and a screaming Bob. “Chris! Chris!” Hayden yelled, running up to me. “We…we gotta…we need to…cause…” he tried to say, but he was completely out of breath. I rolled my eyes.
“What’s going on?” I asked calmly as I got off the stool and began to wrap the headphone’s cord around itself.
“Oh, move!” Connie yelled when Hayden took too long trying to catch his breath. Pushing him out of the way, Connie grabbed Hayden’s phone. “Watch this, Christofer. Now.” she told me, shoving the phone in my face. Specific
“Okay?” I forced a laugh, taking the phone away from Connie and pressing the ‘play’ button on the screen. It was some Youtube interviewer that I’ve never seen before.
“Sources say On The Wings Of Merlin’s lead singer, Bri Thomas, was rushed to the Hospital last night after what looked like a suicide attempt. She was found by fellow touring mates, Ronnie Radke of Falling In Reverse and Alex Tompkins of Chasing Starz. There’s no word on whether she’s alright or not, but I’ll be sure to keep all of you updated on our Punk Princesses.”
“What…” I said, staring at the screen like I was waiting for something else to be said. “Just…she…no…she wouldn’t.” I mumbled to no one particular. I had to sit back down on the stool so I didn’t fall over from the shook going through me. “She’s really gone off the deep end…”
“Oh, don’t be so judgmental.” Connie snapped. “After all, you are the reason she’s ‘gone off the deep end’!”
“Me?” I asked in shook, my eyes going wide. “This isn’t my fault! How would this be my fault?”
“How? HOW?!” she screamed back. “There are a million rumors about her flouting around, people sending her hate mail, calling her every awful name you can think of, people are accusing her of messing around on her ‘perfect’ boyfriend, saying she’s not good enough for him, throwing things at her during shows, and on top of all that,” Connie took a few steps closer so that she was now in my face. “The boyfriend who was supposed to love her more than words could express, the one who was supposed to trust and have faith in her, the one who was supposed to be there for her, not only broke her heart, but pushed her over the edge that she was so desperately trying to balance on. So yeah. I’d say this is your fault, Christofer.”
I looked at her for a moment, taking in her words. “This wasn’t because of me, Connie. She never loved me as much as I loved her.” I looked down, remembering how much it hurt to know that.
Connie let out a bitter laugh. “You’re right. She didn’t love you as much as you loved her.” she said as she made her way to the exit door. Just before she closed it, she turned around to look at me. “She loved you way more.” with that, Connie slammed the door and I was left with Taylor, Hayden and Paul.
“I can’t believe she actually tried to kill herself.” I mumbled to myself after a few seconds of silence.
“Well…” Paul cleared his throat. “Well…we aren’t sure if she made it or not.”
I looked up at them in shock. “What do you mean?”
Taylor spoke next. “She lost a lot of blood, man. She may have…” he trailed off, looking at the ground.
“SHE MIGHT BE DEAD.” Hayden yelled, making me jump. “No need to beat around the goddamn bush with a baseball bat, Taylor! She might be dead, okay?! We gotta go to Arizona now!”
