Epilogue

*Three Months Later*

“So I hear all is well in the world of Christofer Drew and Bri Thomas once again.” Jeff from NewScene said to Lauren, his overly white teeth shining through the screen and almost blinding me as usual.

“Yes. They seem to be doing better than ever.” Lauren said with -what seemed like- a genuine smile. “I‘m honestly happy for them. After all, we see they don‘t do well without each other.”

Jeff nodded. “True. And it looks like they agree.” he pulled a paper out of his back pocket. How incredibly professional. “Recently, Christofer and Bri have been sporting some matching rings. If that wasn’t enough to cause a few marriage rumors, then these pictures of Bri and Christofer’s new tattoos should.” they flashed a picture of me and Christofer’s hand tattoos first. They were my idea. The extremely cute ‘his<3’ on the side of my hand, and ‘hers<3’ on his. However, Chris just couldn’t leave it at that. He practically forced me to get ‘I do’ tattooed on my collarbone. And his matching one? Well, its says ‘ditto’. What can I say? We‘re not exactly normal. “What do you think?”

Lauren smiled again. “I think we shouldn’t speculate just yet. If they are getting married, or if they are ready are and want us to know, they’ll announce it soon. Rumors are never good to start.”

Chris raised his eyebrows as put on the jacket from his famous indigo suit. He looks a little over dressed for where we’re going, but that’s okay. He’ll end up taking the jacket off anyway. “Did I just hear that right?” he asked with a laugh.

I chuckled, nodding as I laced up my chunky boots. I love these things so much. They make me about 5 inches taller. I’m nearly at Christofer’s level with these babies on. “That you did, Love. Alex had a little talk with her about keeping the engagement under wraps.” I looked at screen again, noticing a few faint purple marks on her neck. “Then again…maybe he did a little more than talk to her.” I said, laughing. The placement of those hickeys had Alex’s mark all over it. Lauren has had a thing for Alex from the very beginning anyway. I just hope he doesn’t start dating her for real.

Lauren turned to the camera, a sneaky smirk on her lips. “To Christofer and Bri, where ever you are, I’m not sure if you’re getting married or not, but either way, congratulations. And also, congratulations to On The Wings Of Merlin as a whole for signing with Epitaph Records. We’re looking forward to seeing you all, and NSN, on this years Warped Tour.” her smirk grew wider. “Allegedly, anyway.” with that, she winked.

I rolled my eyes, shaking my head as I turned the tv off. “That girl just can’t keep her mouth shut.” I laughed. I guess she just had to tell some secret. I got off the bed, walking toward Christofer who was standing near the full length mirror. “We have to get one of these at home.” I told him before looking down at my phone. Ronnie was texting me yet again. This is like, the third text in the past 10 minutes.

Ronnie Radke:
Where the hell are you doll??? I need you to help me with Dakota and Watts! Hurry up!

I shook my head. Yelling at me via text is so nice when he’s begging for help with his women problems. That’s right. Women. As in the plural. Meaning more than one.

Me:
Hey now. Hold your goddamn horses. We’re on the way, Ronnie. Calm your balls.

I hit the send button, shaking my head again. I told Ronnie he should’ve left Sally a while back. He didn’t listen. Then what happened? This Dakota girl walked through his door. He’d sent me a picture of her a few weeks ago. The chick is seriously the living version of his dream girl. And she completely gets him too. I warned him about this, but no one ever listens to Bri. “We gotta go.” I told Christofer, rolling my eyes as another overly punctuated text from Ronnie popped up. He’s getting on my nerves with this shit. He needs to chill. But I am kind of glad to get out of this hotel room. Even if it is to go to a party for a girl I barely know. Who am I kidding? That‘s totally Ronnie‘s future girlfriend. Probably his future wife too. So when they finally get together, Bri Thomas fucking called it. “Ronnie is freaking out--Hey!” I hissed when I heard Christofer’s phone’s camera go off. “Don’t take pictures while I’m caught off guard. I was probably herp derping!”

He laughed at me, typing something up on his phone. Probably putting the picture on instagram. He really has a problem. There should be some sort of rehab for obsessive instagramers. “You look beautiful, sweetheart.” he said, leaning over to kiss my cheek. “Like usual.” he told me, flashing that adorable smile of his.

I felt myself blush. Am I ever going to get used to his smile? Probably not.

After Christofer put his phone in his pocket, he grabbed my hand and pulled us toward the door. “Let’s get to the party before Radke has a conniption.”

I laughed at that, knowing that he was right. Ronnie’s been having a total bitch fit for the past two hours. He can’t get his shit together today. That Dakota is driving him crazier than he already is. Which reminded me of Andy and Sam. Why do these guys pick the chicks who make them go insane?

Then I looked at Christofer as we walked out of the hotel lobby. I surely drive him insane. He drives me insane too. Maybe it’s a musician thing? Who knows. One thing is for sure, I’ll probably have to help fix things for the all the guys I call family until they get things right. That’s a shit ton of people. And…I don’t even want to think about how long that list is gonna get after Warped is over.

Damn…I’m on Warped Tour. And on the main stage. How insane is that? Two an a half years ago, Merlin was practicing in Alex’s basement and playing shitty shows that paid us in pizza. Its so crazy how far I’ve come. How far we’ve all come.

I was lost in thought as Chris and I got into the rental car, driving out of the parking lot an onto the beautiful Las Vegas strip. But I wasn’t paying attention to it. No, I was thinking about a question. One I asked before I even agreed to speak to Christofer after a very bad dinner incident. Actually, I called him the devil. Not one of my proudest moments. But I remember it was funny as Hell at the time.

“This could be my shot to go big time. Even if I don’t like Christofer, he could really start my career. But then I’d owe him…Would it all be worth it in the end?”

My thoughts from two years ago echoed in my head. Everything was so different back then. Alex was our drummer, I was still living at home, we barely had gas money for shows, I completely hated Christofer, Julz was totally in love with him, and no one outside of our state even gave a fuck about who On The Wings Of Merlin was. Now we can barely walk outside without being noticed.

Damn, everything is so different now. Its almost insane how much shit we’ve been through in two years. Its kind of scary how it changed us all. Its defiantly scary to think how one decision changed all of our life’s so drastically.

But I smiled, knowing that everything turned out exactly how it was supposed to be. We’ve had our ups and downs, our fights, break-ups, shouting matches, and giving people I call family the silent treatment for months. We’ve lost friends, gained so many new ones, and learned so much. Before this, I never really had family other than my Mom. But now? I have more than I ever thought possible. I reached over, grabbing the hand Christofer didn’t have on the wheel and laced my fingers with his. “Yeah.” I said, holding the hand of the guy who made all of this possible. He changed my life for the better. Hell, he changed ME for the better. And even with all the shit I put him through, for some reason, he still loves me. And I’m so thankful for that. This is my life now. And even if I was given the chance to change something in my past, I wouldn’t do it. Nope. Everything is as exactly how it’s meant to be. Everything that happened, good and bad, bought me to this moment. And I wouldn‘t change a damn thing.

Chris smiled at me, turning onto the street where the FIR house was located. “Yeah what?”

I smiled back. “It was totally worth it.”

He just laughed, knowing exactly what I was talking about. Then we pulled into FIR’s driveway, opened our doors, and started walking with our fingers laced together. I looked up at the man I love as we walked to the door and realized how perfect my love story is. Its no where near finished, but it’s definitely perfect.

Now…we just gotta survive being on Warped, then we‘re all clear for the wedding. But…why do I have this horrible feeling that those three months are gonna be harder than I think? But I guess we’ll have to see.

But, I mean really, what’s the worst that can happen…right?

To Be Continued…
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Author’s Note: And that’s a wrap! No really. This is the end. But there will be a third book coming soon! :D What tour are they gonna be on? WARPED TOUR…Allegedly. ;) That book should be out by either the start of Warped, or the end. Its gonna be a mix of this years line up, last years, and some local bands. Speaking of local bands, check out that video in the side bar! I like to think of it as the song for the ending credits of this book. Its by ‘Bruised But Not Broken’. One of my favorite bands. They’re all so sweet and super talented. (Hudson Hower…LOVE ME.)

For those of you like “okay…who the hell is Dakota?!?!”, she’s the girl from “Reality Check”! That’s the other FIR fanfic. To see what goes down at the party, keep and eye out for the updates on that book. ;D Not to toot my own horn or anything (yes I just said that. I swear I‘m not lame. Lololol), but that story line is pretty damn good. Hahaha.

Okie dokie, for the final time on this book, vomment and fan! :D Love you so much for reading and sticking with me through this book. You’ll never know how much you all mean to me. Thank you so much. I wouldn’t even continue to write if it wasn‘t for you guys. This chapter is dedicated to you all. <3333

Until the next book…Stay metal and stay golden! \m/

See ya at Warped. ;)
