Sans walked through Waterfall and stopped in front of the house if the Captain for the Royal Guard, Alphys.
He pounded against her door.
,,Hm?" Made Alphys, who opened the door.
She looked at Sans.
,,Sorry, but I have no time to deal with children."
Sans looked at Alphys, a smile on his face.
,,But Miss Alphys! I am in no way a child! I, the 'sans'ational and magnificent Sans want to join the Royal Guard! Mwehehehehe!"
The lizard looked at the skeleton.
She sighed.
,,Why do you want to join the Royal Guard anyways?"
Sans smiled friendly at her.
,,Because! I want to help the ones that need it and  make friends with them! I would be very useful!"

The lizard blinked at the skeleton.
,,Okay. You need to spare me. If you win, I take you in training. Deal?"
,,Deal! The magnificent Sans will be very victorious!"
Alphys lightly shook her head.
This skeleton would never win against her.
Normally she wouldn't spare against someone who wants to be in the Royal Guard, just test him on the Trainings Dummy, but she didn't want to hurt the Sans' feelings.
Despite never meeting him before, she heard Undyne talking about him and also other monster.
It was said that this ketchup-obsessed skeleton was very active, innocent and childlike.
So, she would let him loose fair and square, without really hurting him.

Sans smiled lightly at Alphys.
,,When do we start?" He asked.
Alphys went a bit away from her house.
,,Now."
She said and a axe manifested itself in her hands.
Alphys threw the axe at Sans, who lightly dodged, still the friendly smile on his face.
He summoned a few bones and threw them at Alphys.
The lizard notices something.
,He is holding back.'
She thought. ,,Hey! You! Don't hold back!"
Alphys yelled.

Sans smiled.
,,Oh you noticed? Well then. Seems like you deserve the title of ,captain of the Royal Guard'. Then... let us get serious."
Suddenly, there was a charging sound. 
Alphys looked shocked at two dragon skulls, floating over Sans in the air.
Sans smiled. ,,Say ,hi' to Gaster and Blaster!"
And now needed Alphys to defend herself.
,It's a facade!' She screamed in her mind.
,This innocent self is a facade to take the enemy off guard! Oh my, I like this skeleton. With this strength, he could even be captain of the Royal guard! Even if that's my position.'
Alphys threw a few attacks at Sans, who dodged quickly.
She got attacked again. A bone lodged itself into her arm. ,,Okay!" She yelled. ,,It's enough."
Sans dismissed all his attacks.
,,How was I? Good, right?" He said, smiling.

Alphys nodded.
,,Y-yes... you're strong. Not even one of my attacks landed!"
Sans waved up.
,,Of course they didn't! I am the magnificent Sans, after all! And also, I would be a pile of dust now, if they did."
Alphys laughed.
,,Your HP isn't that low. I would've only taken one HP! It's all in the intent."
Sans looked at Alphys, a hint of seriousness in his face.
,,Miss Alphys, I only have one HP. It would have killed me, without a doubt."
The skeleton hid a smirk, as he saw the horror in Alphys' face.
,,O-oh..." She said.
,,Now, that I won against you, I can train with you, right? Mwehehehe!" Alphys nodded.
,,Y-yeah... right. Meet me here tomorrow-"

Sans nodded and said goodbye.
His look darkened on his way home.
,,I shouldn't have said that." He said.
,,Now I will never come in the Royal Guard, no matter what I do. Ugh, I am an idiot!"
And with that, his training started.
