"The hell was all that about?" Monica asked Ivy leaning on her doorway. Shocked, Ivy jumped and turned around to face her sister.

"Jesus, how long have you been there?"

"The whole time, you both were too busy staring into each other's souls you didn't notice me. You should've seen the look on your face"

"What look?"

"Like you want him to take you right there"

She threw a pillow at her sister. "Monica" Ivy didn't know such words could come out of Monica's mouth usually she kept it PG 

"I'm just saying, but you better hurry if you wanna get to that movie he invited you, what a cute first date"

Ivy rolled her eyes at her sister, "it's not a date if there are other people there, besides why would I be going on a date JJ"

"I don't know you tell me, you the one that wants to fu-"

Ivy cut her sister off before she could say anymore "stop right there before I wax your eyebrows off in your sleep"

"hey not the eyebrows, it takes effort to make them this sharp"

"Urgh, what are you doing here?" Kiara said in disgust when Ivy met them at the van.

"Nice to see you too" Ivy replied sarcastically.

"JJ why is she here? This is supposed to be a bitch free event"

"well seeing as your here -"

"Ladies ladies relax" JJ interrupted "we are here for a nice night, we're gonna relax, have a couple drinks and attempt to act like we are all friends here" He put his arm around the two but both Kiara and Ivy pushed him off.

Kiara - still giving Ivy a death stare - picked up her bag and began walking to the crowd.

"what's her problem?" Ivy asked the boys.

"you," they said together, for obvious reasons Ivy didn't need them to elaborate.

"fair enough"

" Guys here's the plan," Pope said stopping the two before heading to the movie "we gotta lay low, like real low"

"relax dude no one is gonna touch you here," Said JJ, attempting to calm Pope down. Ivy could see how worried Pope looked, dude seriously needed a chill pill.

"Yeah, you got me to protect you," Ivy said reassuring the boy.

"Thanks, Ivy but I'll be honest you don't look like you could protect me in a fight"

"Are you kidding? I've got way bigger muscles than you"

"yeah she got you there buddy"

"Y'all coming," Kiara asked the three. Both boys and Ivy gathered the rest of their stuff and followed her. "I'm so glad that they're still doing this"

"I'm not" Pope mumbled causing Ivy to laugh a little, she hid it with a couch though so Kiara didn't hear.

"Keep calm carry on back to OBX life"

"Did she just use a keep calm carry on quote?" Ivy whispered to JJ

"yeah?"

"I swear the last time I heard anyone say those words was in 2012" The joke caused JJ to smirk a little but shook it off when he noticed Kiara staring at him suspiciously.
