With her psychology textbook open on her desk her brain was having trouble processing what the fuck she was reading.
Scanning the page the only thing Ivy could properly understand was the picture of the labelled eyeball and the only part of the eye she could confidently identify was the Iris.
She leaned back in her chair with a groan, she shouldn't be spending her holidays doing her homework, homework was always left for the very last minute. Ivy didn't even bring the textbook, her mum did. Her mother actually went out of her way to bring the book in case she had to punish Ivy for whatever reason.
Her mum found out she did not in fact sleep at Sarah's last night and she was hella pissed. Ivy eventually told her where she really was sleeping her mum lost the plot, fair enough though, two teenagers alone in a house after a night of drinking and shenanigans' didn't sound the best, especially to a parent. She threatened to send her home but then her mum realised that Ivy probably wanted that. It wasn't true and her mum didn't need to know that, sure a few days ago she dreaded being here but now things seem to be looking up for her, for now anyway. Her mum however was still under the impression she did not want to be here. After her mum had calmed down however she told Ivy she was proud for sorting things out with JJ, well at least trying to.
To make the situation even more annoying Ivy had to cancel on JJ today. He understood but teased her for getting caught and said she needed to work on her lying skills. He promised to give her a lesson because he is the self-proclaimed "best liar in the business". She couldn't disagree, he was good at it, a little too good.
Still hanging her head backward, she watched an upside-down Monica walk into her room, her signature evil smirk on her face.
"What do you want " Ivy knew this would only end it a petty argument, with Monica's sarcasm and Ivy's intolerance to it, their heads always clashed.
"Geez, no need for the sass, I just had a question" She sat on Ivy's bed uninvited and crossed her legs, leaning back on her hands. Ivy had a feeling she wasn't going to ask her just a question, she could feel it in her gut Monica was going to try and stir the pot, as always.
"Get on with it" Ivy persisted after Monica hadn't said anything, Ivy assumed that she was trying to build up the tension like the overdramatic little rat she was.
"Did you fuck him?"
Ivy bilked her eyes multiple times in shock. Did she what? She was amazed Monica even asked that, surely she's not lost that many brain cells to understand you don't just fuck a boy you haven't seen in four years after hanging out with him only once. Ivy's stomach fluttered for a moment at the thought, she and JJ having sex was definitely something she thought about but to hear the words to come out of someone else's mouth felt wrong, illegal almost.
"No, How can you ask me that, you of all people know the situation better than anyone, so you should understand that- that is- is just, impossible, we have been back a couple of days and JJ and I have just made up"
"Makeup sex" Monica interrupted
"No, Not makeup sex, I'm sure people only do that in movies and books, why are you suddenly so interested in my se- love life, not that I have one, just why are you asking"
"I read one of your books and well they were alone drunk and they you know" Monica did the universal gesture for sex with her hands, making a circle with one and shoving her finger through the hole. "I just wanted to know if shit like that actually happened"
