Burn (chapter 2)
Duck, punch, dodge, punch. Normal life of military training. My opponent is Tyler, she is a amazing fighter, and my friend. Tyler is the same age as me, 15, skinny (too skinny), and has long brown hair that is just beautiful on her. We have been friends since we started karate in preschool. First day we met we were partners, we both caught on quickly and started to train with each other everyday.
She is the only one, the only one that knows about my anchor problem, and that tells you how much I trust her. We share everything with each other, everything. She told me about her brother and I told her about my shelter. Taylor told me that she has a eating disorder and I told her the I have a tattoo that, brings me pain. It continues on and on. She is my best friend and that will never change.
Anyway back to the fight. We were pretty even, back and forth, lunging laughing, dodging, punching, back and forth. It was what we did everyday, thats when we were paired up that is. She lunged forward and I swiftly moved to the side of the mat, her missing me completely. Tyler caught herself but she was off balance, so I did what any reasonable friend would do, pin her to the ground.
"One, two," Tyler moved slightly trying to get out of my death grip, but unfortunately for her she was pinned in perfection. "three," Let's just say the move was very practiced, "four, five. I win." I smirked a little while she huffed in frustration.
"How do you do that so well, every time I think I'm gonna win, you pull one of those stupid moves and win. Every time! Grr... I'll get you one time, and I'll be victorious!" She whisper yelled, slowly standing, rubbing her wrists from my death grip.
"We'll shall see Ty, we shall see." I said laughing.
I was giving her a hand up, when Ace just had to show up, laughing at Tyler. "Hey idiot, lose again? How does that feel, because I wouldn't know?" He looked at his stupid posey. "I bet you couldn't beat an ant. Have fun being a loser!" Ace then had the nerve to turn to me! "Oh and Kat, be ready. We have a fight tomorrow." He said smirking.
I looked at him with as much hatred as possible and growled while saying, "You have the freaking nerve to mess with my friend and then say to be ready to fight you, give me a break! If anyone needs to get ready, that's you idiot." And calmly tossed my arm over Tyler's shoulder, and we walked away, together.
