Burn (Chapter 12)

I stood there trying to take it all in, I have a brother, a twin, he has abilities, we have the same tattoo, and that he lived here his whole life. Ace is standing next to me just as shocked. I thought we were coming here to see what I can do, not to find out I have a twin. I nod not finding any words to express what I'm feeling right now.

Now
I'm sitting in a chair, thinking of all the possibilities. Could I be a shifter too, or maybe turn invisible?! To be honest, I'm a little terrified, what do all these other people have? They could be so powerful..

"We are going to have you also sit down Ace. It seems that you have gained a new ability." Ace bows his head looking a little shocked and then sits next to me.

"Well to complete this task, we need your blood Ace." Sam politely says to Ace, like he says this everyday.

I lift my eyebrows at the statement, "If you need his blood, don't you need mine too?" I questioned.

Sam snickered and then whispered, "No, we don't need yours. Now please sit quietly and wait your turn."

All of a sudden 5 guys with all black on come in and strap Ace's arms and legs down. In the .5 second process, Ace and I stare at each other. Sam takes a needle and is getting ready to inject him. Ace shakes his head and mouths, "This isn't normal." to me. I weigh my options of which guy to attack first, then it happens.

Sam's crew falls, the needle clatters on the floor. The stone starts to crumble, I realize if we don't get out of her now, we could die. I look to Ace who is struggling with the ropes on him, and rush to him. I grab a piece of the stone that fell, and start ripping at the rope. Once Ace is free, I look back to my twin and his posey. I grab Ace's hand with Sam screaming at me to help him, but I just turn and run out the door.

We stop dead in my tracks. There was no falling ceilings, people panicked and broken floors. Nothing to show any signs of disaster at all. Nothing happened here, just in that room..

Ace looks to me, "Kat, we need to get out of here now. You ready?" I nod my head and then me and Ace are back to my apartment. As soon as I'm home, I collapse on the floor.

Ace picks me up and takes me to the couch. "You okay?" He whispers.

"I just-I just.. It's all the information. I mean, why would they do that to you? Is Sam really my brother, is him name even Sam?" I rant my questions while staring at the floor.

The floor starts to shake a little bit, and then it just stops. I look to Ace, "Did you feel that?" I ask him.

Ace smiles and nods, "Ya, I felt that. And quess what?"

"What Ace?" I ask him worryingly. He shakes his head and smiles again, saying one thing that will change my life forever.

"You can control the elements."

Sorry I haven't been updating much guys!! Posting this before school, so it's a little short. Promise to post another chapter soon.
