Burn (chapter 15)

It was almost as if time stopped, and it probably did, for a second.

Then, all hell broke lose.

Now
Ace and Sam were running towards each other while 3 of Sam's guards came to fight against Ace with him.

The other six were gone, and I mean gone. I immediately recognized that they became invisible. I smile to myself and sprint (super speed) over to Ace.

At the moment Sam and Ace are circling each other while the three guards disappear to. I stop about five feet behind Ace.

With one foot on the ground I stomp with my other foot and everything starts to shake, causing all the guards to lose focus of attacking, as well as the two wolves. All ten guards lose invisibility but Sam quickly gains balance and jumps on Ace, causing him to teleport next to me.

I turn to Ace quickly and as if we read each others minds he turn to the guards while I turn to Sam. Sam smirks at me while I just scowl at him. He transforms back to his human form, tsking at me.

"Did you reconsider yet sis?" He asks knowingly. I scoff as he continues, "I really don't understand why you won't come with me, I mean if you really want to say it's because of your precious weak boyfriends almost death, I can tell you that that wouldn't be fair. Especially because I just want to talk not kill you."

Not losing eye contact I say, "One, he isn't weak, Two, how is that not fair and, Three, you have been talking and that has not been helping your case one bit."

I hear a door open and quickly look behind me to see Tyler and Mike walking in taking in the situation, worse timing ever.

Ace (in wolf form) mid-attack with four of the ten, the other six are knocked out, I think.. While me and Sam have just stopped circling each other. Plus, it was starting to pick up speed in the room, as in there was twenty mile an hour winds. The four guards walk towards the two, but don't get far as Ace jumps over the guards to in front of them and growls. While mine and Tyler's eyes are locked. Mikes eyes are as big as saucers. In the matter of a second Sam runs from beside me and is grabbing Tyler's and Mike's throats and pinning them on the wall. I speed there not giving it a second thought and push my hands forwards as he is forced to let go of them and he flies through the air.

I push downwards with my eyes locked on Sam, and cause him to slam into the floor and run out of the gyms back door.

Glancing at Ace I see that the four men are passed out, then they all vanish and I smile towards him, while he does the same until we realize we have an audience. Slowly turning around we see them staring at us. Tyler's hand is over her mouth stiffening a cry, while Mike is holding her with shock all over his face with a mixture of fear.

"Please, listen to us." It was Ace, he transformed back to a human. They turn quickly towards Ace and scream. A long piercing scream from both of them. Immediately after that I'm on the floor as well as Ace, we stare at each other and know what happened. Both of us are having pain. He closes his eyes and he tries to use his teleportation, and then shakes his head.

We can't use our abilities while in pain, we get to weak. I hear feet coming towards us and curl into a ball praying that they don't try to hurt us.

Then I feel the pain slowly subside just enough to be able to crawl. I use my speed and am at Ace's side in a matter of a second. It seems as if he got some strength to because when I get next to him, he wraps me into his arms pulling me closer.
