Temptation of Wife XXIX: Let's See How Good You'll Lie

The dinner went great. She kept a smile on her face despite the bitter feeling inside her heart and awful words echoing inside her mind. Even though she already lost her appetite, she kept on chewing and swallowing her food. Maddison's brother, Jimin, already left their house. He couldn't stay nay longer because their younger sister, Jia, wanted to spend the night with him. So Jimin will be spending the night in their parent's house.

Is her husband really cheating behind her back? Is he going to waste the years they spent together? How about the promise? Maddison's mind is really chaotic right now. It's full of what if's. She even started wondering if she wasn't good enough for him. Does she need to change something in order to keep him or prevent him from cheating? There's a lot of questions in her mind. And she badly need answers to every single of it.

Right now, Jungkook is busy putting their kids to sleep. While Maddison is in their room's balcony, standing while looking up to the sky. There are no stars above, the moon isn't visible either. The sky is empty, dark, and gloomy. Almost the same as her feelings.

"Is everything okay, beautiful?". Jungkook entered the balcony, and stood beside his wife.

"I noticed the look you have on your face. It's been the same ever since you came downstairs before preparing our meal".

"Tell me what's bothering you, beautiful". He place his hand on top of hers.

Maddison separated her hands away from his hold, made its way to her pockets, and pulled out the lipstick she saw earlier from his bag. "I saw this inside your bag, Jungkook. Who owns this?". Maddison questioned.

"Who owns this?". She repeated.

"I think it's yours, baby. I don't remember having such thing inside my bag. You must've put it in". Jungkook answered. He doesn't have any clue about anything.

"Jungkook, if this lipstick is mine, do you think I'll be here questioning you who owns it?". With that, Jungkook instantly rememberthe only person who entered his office earlier. Vera Lim.

FLASHBACK

Vera stood up from her chair, and did what she was told. When she reached his office, she immediately open the drawer where the file Jungkook is asking for is in. But before leaving the office, she searched for his bag. She couldn't find it anywhere, but she did notice a suspicious drawer. It's the only one that has a lock on it. .

The first thing that popped in her mind is his wife's birth date. But unfortunately, it's not the code. When she tried entering their wedding date, it finally got unlocked. And there is it, Jungkook's bag. The drawer has nothing but his bag. In her pocket, is a used lipstick and a small piece of paper with words written on it. She quickly put it in the bag, and place it back the same way she saw it.

"Don't be too relieved, Jeon. I might be quiet and busy with all the works i'm given, but that doesn't mean I forgot do to my intentions". She chuckled.

"Good luck with your wife, president. Let's see how good you'll lie to her face this time". With that, she finally left Jungkook's office.

side from confessing the truth, he decided to add more lies, "Oh! I remember, I bought it for you, baby". He said, forcing a smile on his face.

Maddison got irritated, it was so obvious that her husband is lying. Lying to her face. Because of the irritation she's feeling, she immediately opened the lipstick and showed it to her husband.

"So you're buying used lipstick for your wife now?". It literally caught Jungkook off-guard. He certainly didn't expect that coming.

"Who owns this, Jungkook? Tell me!" She raised her voice.

"What the hell are you indicating, Maddison?! That i'm cheating behind your back? Is that it?!". Jungkook raised his voice too.

"Yes, Jungkook! Yes! That's exactly what i'm indicating!".

"Are you out of your mind?! Why would you accuse me like that? Do you have a fucking proof huh?! A evidence that would show that i'm really cheating behind your back. Do have one?!".

"Having a used lipstick inside a married man's bag is not natural, Jungkook! Especially when the lipstick is not owned by your wife!".

"You want a fucking evidence?!".

"Then here!". She shove the small piece of paper on Jungkook's chest.

"For how long will you keep on defending yourself, Jungkook?! It's obvious that your cheating behind my back!".

"You're a fucking liar! I can't believe this! My husband is going around sticking his dick inside another woman's pussy!". Maddison shouted.

Maddison's words really triggered something in Jungkook. Causing him to do something he'll forever regret. He slapped Maddison hard on her face. The impact was so hard that she even lost her balance, making her land on the floor.

She couldn't believe it. Her husband just slapped her. The husband who couldn't even pinch her skin before just freaking slapped her really hard on her face. Maddison's cheeks are burning, the cheek he slapped hurts so bad.

Jungkook came back to his senses and realized what he just did. He couldn't believe himself either. "Madd-", He didn't got a chance to continue his words because Maddison stood up from her feet and slapped him too.

"My biological father, my stepfather, and my stepbrother never once put their hands on me in such way nor did they raised their hands on me. I won't let any man treat me this way, even if it's you". Tears are continusly flowed down her face. She is extremely hurt.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean it". Maddison started walking away, and Jungkook followed her. When they reached downstairs, he realized what she was up to. She's leaving home.

"You can't leave, my love. Please. Don't leave the house. I can sleep in the guest room. Just don't leave. Let's solve this problem, please". He begged, but she was having none of it, so she ran away.

Little did they knew, their eldest child, Jihyun saw it all. He was woken up from his slumber because of the loud shouts. Despite his age, Jihyun understood the situation completely. His father is having an affair with somebody else. His father is cheating behind his mother's back. He was even there when his father slapped his mother. And he was watching the whole scene with teary eyes, mentally begging his parents to stop. The worst part is, Jihyun hates his father for hurting his mother.
