Six years ago, Taehyung promised Maddison to light the whole city in green in order to help her with her surprise for Jungkook. Why green? Simple, because it's the color of life. But things didn't went down as planned, nobody expected Jungkook's betrayal on the same exact day he married the mother of his children.
He made a couple of mistakes because of Vera, but it was anything but serious or sincere. The day he called Vera to his home. He didn't cheat on Maddison with Vera because he wanted to. He was more like forced because he wasn't in his right senses.
Ketamine and Sildenafil. Vera managed to skillfully inject both of those drugs into his system when they were both talking. Vera's hands was basically allover him, no matter how many times he pushed her off him, so how could she not be able to do that. Jungkook was simply high when his wife got involved in an awful accident.
But Jera is not the result of what happened that night. Jungkook was never a biological father to anybody than his two children with Maddison. The missing child Vera is currently searching for is another man's child and not Jungkook's. But the public know the opposite to truth.
"YOU DON'T FUCKING TELL ME WHAT TO DO! I'M THE BOSS HERE, I'M THE ONE PAYING YOU, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND!". Vera yelled at her personal assistant, Dione.
The mansion is filled with loud noises at the earliest morning due to the chaos created by Vera at the auction a few days ago. She won the bidding contest on the biggest lot in South Korea for the price of one billion dollars. Because of pride and ego, Vera went over the budget just because she couldn't afford losing to a little six years old girl.
"My apologies, boss, but I'm only concern. You don't have enough money to complete the payment. Mister Jae Chan left you with nothing but five hundred million dollars and gave the rest to his eldest daughter Mariska Chan". Dione slapped the truth on his boss' face and it was enough to make her blood boil even more.
Everything Dione said was true. While everybody else thought that Vera inherited Jae Chan's entire fortune, there she is going ballistic with what was left with her. Five hundred million dollars wasn't enough to satisfy her greediness with wealth. Jae Chan only gave Vera twenty percent share to his company, the ones that owns the biggest share is his biological children. And she wasn't exactly happy with the results once his last will got read a few months after his death.
"I get what I want regardless how complicated it is. So don't ever doubt how I make things work. There's no such thing as impossible to me". She said while pointing her index finger at his face.
"But madame-". Before Dione could even continue his words, Vera cut him off.
"Let me remind you that your mother is sick, Dione. She would've died a long time ago if it wasn't for me offering you help. If you want to keep it that way, I suggest you stop going against my words and capabilities". Vera once again reminded Dione his position in life.
"Of course, madame. I would like to ask for forgiveness". Dione replied before bowing his head.
"Contact the chairwoman of Ruby Jane. I would like to have a word with her, I'm selling my shares". Vera told her personal assistant.
"Yes, madame. Excuse me for a while, I'm going to make the call". Dione said before taking his leave.
"Are you seriously going to sell your shares, Vera? You do know that you won't have anything to hold onto once it's sold and bought by somebody else". Daya immediately questioned her best friend.
"The old man only left you with twenty percent. What power will you have over the company if you sell the shares? His children will destroy you once they know you lack that, you should be always remember the hatred they feel towards you". Daya added. She's starting to get frustrated by her best friend deciding quite too fast.
"Many bigtime businessmen and women would gladly join hands with me once the lot is legally mine. Why? Because they will make a huge profit out of it. It's gonna benefit them the same way it's gonna do to me". Vera told her best friend.
"So relax and take a sip of that tequila from the bottle". She added.
"Your best friend is gonna do it her own way. I just need you by my side like you always do, and everything's gonna go according to how I want it". Vera continued.
"I failed numerous times before your eyes, but I never once gave up on rising to the top. And I'm already here, Daya. Do you really expect me to give up when I'm soo freaking close from getting the things I could only imagine I had before?".
"I've been with you through your every highs and lows. But I'm really concerned with the price. Like where and from who are you going to get that huge money? You might face bankruptcy". A very concerned Daya said.
"I won't, so don't worry. I'm selling my shares to earn money along with a few properties. It won't hurt me 'cause I'll succeed". Vera explained what she wanted to happen.
"But what if you don't?". Daya questioned.
"Trust me, I'll definitely do". Vera smiled evilly.
