16 - trip

OLIVIA'S POV:

A week passed.

I promised Valerio to think about it, and I did. But what does he expect from me? oh yes let's kill our fathers together! no there is more behind it ; It's hard and I want to do it with Carla.
As weak as it may sound I don't think I can do it alone or am capable of it. He was right, the time has come, it has to happen someday and the longer I wait the more dangerous it becomes. I promised to train with Valerio in the afternoon, I have to roll my eyes just thinking about it. I have no idea what's going on between us but something draws me to him in some weird way. What time is it now? 3 o'clock indicated the gold hands of my watch. Oops I think that's my signal to change clothes and go to the training hall.

The door opened automatically and Valerio was hitting a punching bag violently.
Oh and don't forget he was shirtless.
Oh my god I don't like him but his body was made by a god no joke.
God I'm almost drooling on the floor, ew stop thinking about him like that.

''I thought you weren't going to show up'' He wiped the sweet from his forehead and tried to catch his breath.

My eyes rolled and I walked over to him. "Ugh shut up I'm here now right?"

His lips formed into a grin and he handed me boxing gloves.
He held a soft mat in front of his stomach and stood firm, his abs tightened and I tried to hold myself together which of course I failed.

I placed my fists in front of my face and took turns hitting the mat left and right. "So what's your big kill plan?" My eyebrows raised and I continued hitting.

"Well the two of us will go to Los Angeles where my father is and kill him and then we'll go to Madrid with Carla and kill your father."

My heart sank to my stomach, did he just say the two of us?

My face formed into a questioning expression and I stopped beating the mat. ''Just the two of us?''
The idea alone drives me crazy.

He dropped the mat on the floor and licked his lips. ''Yup do you mind then?''

I could tell from the tone in his voice and his eyes that were filled with lust that he didn't mind being alone with me at all.

I swallowed softly and stood upright and confident. ''No.....but why only us together?''

''It's safer and less dangerous than if we bring people along'' He tilted his head.

uhm what should i do now? this man is unbelievably handsome and i had sex with him and now i have to go on a mission with him ALONE?!
''I'll only go if Nina comes with us'' .

He straightened his head again and I saw a little disappointment in his eyes.
"Ugh okay fine..... afraid you can't resist me?" His mouth formed a grin.

I kicked him in the balls. ''God you really have a little kid's brain''

He moaned in pain and clutched at his balls. "I think you just killed my kids."

I couldn't contain my laughter and burst out.

A few days passed and we discussed the plan with Carla. She thought it was a good plan and luckily Nina went with me and Valerio. Me and Nina had packed our bags and it was time, we went to Los Angeles. Carla stayed here with Louis and Matteo because it was safer, and when we went to Madrid Carla came with us.

We went to LA on a private jet.
The ride was quite long and me and Nina had the most fun together.
Valerio sat with us for a few hours at first but I think he found us irritating because he then went into another room with some other men, I think they were bodyguards but I'm not sure.

We had landed safely and now we were taken with a big car to a Motel. It was already dark outside and we drove into the motel grounds. It was a large building with a flat roof. The path was lit and there was a forest around it. It seemed quite remote and there were many expensive cars in the parking lot. I looked out the window . ''What kind of motel is this?''

''It's a motel for my mafia, kind of a stopover when you have to travel. I bought it a few years ago." Valerio fixed his tie as he spoke and looked out.

"So there are only people here from your mafia?"

He nodded "correct."

The door opened for me and we grabbed our bags from the trunk and walked to the entrance.

A large man was waiting for us outside. '' Boss! so good to see you'' He smiled and greeted us kindly.

Valerio shook his hand. "Would you like to take the suitcases of these two ladies here to their room?"

The man nodded and took the suitcases. ''Ofcourse boss''.

We walked in and it was very nicely decorated, black again of course but with gold accents. There was a huge bar with many people sitting at it. The moment Valerio walked in, people looked at us,all of the women smiled flirtatiously at him like he was some god, and the men looked nervous almost as if they were afraid of him.

God this man has a lot of effect on people and he knows it.

Suddenly a woman turned to us and her jaw dropped as she looked at Valerio.
She jumped off the chair and walked over to him. ''Oh my god! valerio I haven't seen you in so long'' She put her arms around him and he caught her.

A shocked look fell on his face. '' Jane ? what the hell are you doing here?"

It's hard for me to understand but he looked surprised and happy but also sad at the same time.
Who was she?

She gave him a kiss on the cheek. ''Oh you know business, I didn't know you'd be here''.
She was very happy and her eyes shone. She was wearing a beautiful black dress and she had long blond hair, she was beautiful.

Nina grabbed my hand and pulled me away and we walked to the bar.

I frowned "Who was that?"

I placed myself on a bar stool and nina looked very angry. ''Jane'' She gave me a dirty look and I could see from her face that she didn't like her.

My eyebrows frowned "What is it, why do you sound so angry?"

She sighed deeply and continued to stare straight ahead. ''She was his um... first love they dated for a year and let me say it was very toxic. ''

I didn't understand at all and didn't understand what nina had to do with that?
'' So ? what happened?"

She looked over at Jane and Valerio, who were talking . ''She's a bitch, she's mean and cheated, Valerio was in love with her and she saw him as just a sex buddy. He gave up his world for her and when he found out that she was cheating he collapsed. ''

I looked at Jane and Valerio who were now laughing hard together.

"Ugh I hate her, she doesn't know what it did to him, he became different and I helped him with the pain he was in."

I saw in Nina 's eyes that she was angry but also sad at the same time .

"That's awful." I said

Nina nodded. "And I'm sure she just planned to be here so she could see him again, I hate her so much believe me she's beautiful on the outside but on the inside she's really ugly."

I felt real weird about this, especially didn't expect Valerio ever dated anyone, and also that he was so devastated afterwards. Maybe that's why he isn't dating anymore? I don't know why but I didn't expect this.
