Sam Winchester—what is Sam Winchester?

Sam Winchester is selfless. Sam Winchester does not give up easily when it comes to the matter of his friends and family. Sam Winchester will put his life at risk for those he loves and even for strangers.

Sam Winchester is smart. Sam Winchester knows how to deceive people and how to make them change their minds. But Sam Winchester also knows when to back out of situations when he knows he can't win them.

Sam Winchester is brave. Sam Winchester will throw himself in the face of danger if it means saving somebody's life. Sam Winchester knows the saying, "Bravery is another word for stupidity," but he knows that sometimes the possible good outcome of something is worth the risk. So Sam Winchester doesn't mind being called stupid if it means helping the world be a better place.

Sam Winchester is a dork. Sam Winchester will stay up all night watching "Game of Thrones" or reading Harry Potter even if he has to get up early in the morning because he can never find a good place to stop. Sam Winchester will search up trivia about his favorite characters at three in the morning when he can't sleep.

Sam Winchester is many things. And, amongst that, Sam Winchester is in love.

Sam Winchester is selfless when it comes to you. Sam Winchester will take of his jacket in the middle of a freezing storm and hand it to you even though you already have your own. Sam Winchester secretly loves to watch the sleeves go past your hands. And though Sam Winchester doesn't voice it often, he likes it how you "baby" him when you're back at the Bunker, helping him take a hot shower because "else you might get sick," and making soup for him afterwards.

Sam Winchester is smart, but he never feels bad when you outsmart him. Sam Winchester especially likes how you can get him to take a break from researching by simply whispering a few choice of words in his ears and playing with the collar of his shirt.

Sam Winchester is stupidly brave when your safety is in trouble. Sam Winchester once burst into a room full of demons weaponless just so that you could have an opportunity to escape when you were captured. Sam Winchester would do it all over again.

Sam Winchester is completely happy to be a dork with you. Sam Winchester will give away his favorite Star Wars shirt to you within the minute you utter the word. Sam Winchester loves to get into playful arguments about your and his favorite characters over coffee in the morning, pretending to be annoyed when you declare something opposite to what he says, but in reality just enjoying the sound of your voice.

Sam Winchester is in love with you.

Sad thing is, though, that Sam Winchester is holding you in his arms, your body cold and unmoving, and your eyes blank.
