Request: Could you do a Dean/reader/? She is their baby sister maybe still a kid or even as a baby and the both have their own was to put her to sleep? And one of them is Dean humming 'hey Jude'? Please??

A/N: I decided to do a lil short story for Sam and Dean for this one since I feel like I never write enough Sam stuff

"Deanie! Deanie!" Your voice echoes through the halls of the bunker. "I betchya can't catch me!"

Dean smiles to himself as you stand with your hands on your hips and your tongue sticking out. Even the sour expression on your small face couldn't hide the glint of determination in your eyes.

"Well you better watch out!" Dean laughs, beginning to make his way towards you. "It's nap time when I get my hands on you!"

Dean laughs as your eyes go wide and you run away down the corridor of the bunker. Sam and Cas are in the other room and right now is his time to watch after Y/N, not that he minds hanging out with you more than doing research for a case.

Dean picks up the sound of your little footsteps and quiet giggles. He slowly begins to stamp his boots on the ground as a warning that he's getting closer. He rounds the corner and makes a scary face to surprise you, but the hallway is empty.

"Hmm," Dean taps his chin. "Something seems a little fishy around here."

"BOO!" Your high voice comes from behind him and he actually jumps. You laugh when you see that the tables have turned on your brother.

"I'm not done with you yet, missy!" Dean scoops you up in his arms and throws you over his shoulder easily.

"Noooooo!" You yell playfully, banging on his back with your fists. "Naps are for chumps! I don't wanna be a chump!"

"I take naps all the time!" Dean replies. He makes his way back down the hall towards your room.

"My point exaptly!" You mess up your speech and Dean smiles.

"Well this chump just got you, right? Now you have to take a nap. That's how you join." His eyebrows waggle mysteriously. Dean sets you down on your bed and takes a seat next to you.

"Join what? Join what?" You jump on the bed as your curiosity gets the best of you.

"All I can say is that you have to take a nap if you want to be a part of the secret club," Dean whispers with a grin.

"Deal," You negotiate. "But you have to sing to me."

He nods and you rest your head on your pillow as he begins to tuck you in. "What song?" He asks, giving you a slight smile. You adore how no matter what song you name, he would know the lyrics.

"Hey Jude!" You giggle as you pull your covers up over your shoulders. "I know that's your favorite."

Dean's expression darkens for a quick moment before his smile reappears. "My mom used to sing that to me every night. She didn't know as many songs as I do."

"Well then you can sing it for the both of us," Your voice is quieter now as you snuggle into the warm blankets.

Dean pauses and looks at your small relaxed figure. You are the reason he fights even harder to stay alive everyday. You are the one he wants to come home to after a long hunt.

"Hey Jude, don't make it bad," Dean starts out softly. "Take a sad song, and make it better."

Your eyes close and you snuggle up even more into the soft blanket. Dean's voice is the most soothing sound you've ever heard.

"Remember to let her into your heart, then you can start to make it better," Dean sings as he notices you starting to drift off. He finished the song and puts a small kiss on your forehead before leaving quietly.

Sam laughs as he sees your giddy expression. He grabs the book off of the shelf and goes back to the edge of your bed where you're already tucked in.

"Okay, this one is the story of the three little pigs," He glances down at the cover of the book where there is a small illustration of 3 pigs in a brick house that are shuddering with fear of the big bad wolf outside.

"I've heard that one before!" You whine.

"You've heard them all before! I've read every book on this shelf!" Sam replies with a slight smile.

"Then tell me one of your stories," You speak with a soft smile.

Sam coughs and stretches his arms out, attempting to stall while he thinks of something. "Ok, got it."

You snuggle up into your blanket in anticipation.

"There is a princess that lives in a castle. She is smarter than everyone she knows and beautiful beyond all measure. But she is also fair and kind to everyone she meets. There are many princes who want to marry her, but she says no to all of them."

"Why does she say no?" You ask curiously.

"Because she believes in true love," Sam continues. "One day she is walking down the corridor of her castle, a servant boy walks by carrying a box of expensive items. He thinks that the princess is amazing and every way. He gets so nervous when he sees her that he trips on his own foot and drops the box. The princess notices and helps him pick it up. When their eyes meet, she falls just as in love with him as he was already with her."

"What a klutz!" You proclaim, giggling.

"That's not the point," Sam presses his lips together, taking a little bit of offense.

He sighs, and continues with the story. "The two share a forbidden love, keeping it hidden for months. Finally, the princess tells her father about how she fell in love with her servant. He admires her strength and bravery so much, he allows them to be together. They are happy."

"Then what?" You ask, letting out a yawn.

"One day the princess is kidnapped by an evil dragon. When the servant finds out, he does everything that he can to save her. He climbs to the tallest mountain where she is being held and fights the dragon. It is hard for him, the dragon injures the servant."

Sam looks to you, fast asleep under your sheets.

"The dragon loses the fight and the servant cuts off his head, but there is no winner. He had already breathed fire onto the princess. She died screaming." Sam finishes. He looks down at his lap and his lips turn down for a quick moment.

"For a long time the servant is very sad. He doesn't want to live on without his princess. After a while he starts to heal. He realizes that he still has people in the world who care about him just as much as he cared for the princess. He even learns to love again, although it's a different kind of love. A special kind." He looks at your snoozing figure. "There's no romance, but he loves his family. His big brother and his baby sister. He would do anything for them."

Sam stands up from your bed. "Goodnight Y/N."

"Goodnight Sammy," You mumble, half awake.

He places a kiss on your forehead and leaves.
