Request: Can I have one where the boys are hunting a creature out in the woods in the middle of the winter and the reader has to teach Cas how to run a snowmobile? I've just had the idea in my head for a while and it's hot and I want to read a winter themed fic!

"There's a cabin over here!" Dean's voice comes from nearby and you quickly follow it, hopping over snowdrifts and frozen tree roots. You meet up with the brothers and Cas quickly, and the four of you trek up the small hill towards the cabin. You're at what once was an old ski resort, but quickly turned into one family's property after old legends ruined the appeal of the place.

Cabin doesn't seem to be the right word for it – the log building is huge. Probably three stories, with a generator and garage. You're never seen anything so luxurious before, and it seems a shame that the obscene Wendigo population of the woods drove its owners away.

The three of you quickly break into the cabin and get the fire going. Once you've warmed through somewhat, you take Cas to investigate the outside of the cabin – you're intrigued by the garage and once you've fired up the generator (which is much, much easier with a little angel juice on your side) you trudge through the snow to find the garage door.

You pick the frozen lock and haul it up, stepping into the dark room.

"Oh, hey, look at this!" You grin, pointing at a tarpaulin sheet thrown across something large, "Is it... it is!"

Castiel only narrows his eyes and tilts his head, and you laugh, hauling the sheet away to reveal the snowmobile underneath.

"It's a snowmobile!" You explain, grinning like a kid at Christmas, "Oh, man, this is awesome. I haven't seen one of these in years!"

You begin checking it over, smiling excitedly as you see the tank full of gas.
"Dean did say we could go scouting the area," You pause, remembering the elder Winchester's words, "Cas, pop in and let him know we're going? I want to take this thing out for a spin."

The angel looks dubious for a moment, but nods. He disappears for a moment and reappears, bouncing on the balls of his feet.

"You want to start her up?" You ask, and he nods, advancing towards the machine. You head to the other side and hand him the keys, "Alright, put those in the ignition. Turn it slowly, start up the choke, and... boom! Let go!" You clap your hands together in excitement, "Listen to that purr!"

The angel grins proudly, "It sounds good."

"It does. You want to drive or should I?"

"I'll leave the driving to you." He decides.

You toss him a helmet, however unnecessary it may be, and climb on. He hops on behind you and you guide his arms around your waist, before revving the engine and crawling out of the garage and into the snowy forest. As the engine warms up, you increase your speed and begin moving out further, blasting through snowdrifts. Flakes don't even have time to rest on your shoulders before you tear through the barrages of snow and into the clearings beyond. You don't see any evidence of monsters, but Cas doesn't seem to mind as he clings onto you for dear life and you yell out your conversation over the engine's hum and through your helmets.

"How do you know how to do this?" Cas calls out and you grin, relishing the memories as they flood back to you.

"My parents used to take me and my brother up to Canada. We had friends there, and we'd stay with them for a few weeks in the winter, skiing and skating and stuff!" You call back, turning a harsh skid-turn. Cas' grip tightens on your waist for a moment – after being human for a while, the concept of invincibility is something he has to readjust to – and then loosens as you straighten your course, grinning as fresh snow powder flies into your face.

Eventually, you bring the snowmobile to a stop by a frozen pond in a clearing. The area is barren, with no signs of life apart from yourself and the angel by your side, but it doesn't matter.

The two of you dismount and you click the engine off, letting the clearing fall into silence. You take a moment to pause – you're all for staying quiet a while longer, but Castiel taps on your shoulder.

"This is nice." He says softly, "Thank you for... showing me this. For letting me join you."

"Thank you for coming." You laugh, patting his hand, "Cas, you're not intruding. I like you being around, you know?"

"Good," He smiles brightly, the snow reflecting pure light onto his face and making his eyes seem bluer than ever, "Because there's no one else I'd rather be here with."
