Ruby was sitting on a bench in the park waiting for her friend to arrive. Ranboo and her had decided to meet in the park since both were bored and wanted to do something. They saw the tall boy in the distance hood on his head listening to music. She stood up walking up to him as she saw him nearing her a bit faster.
"So what do you have planned because I just woke up and my brain still isn't working properly"
"We could take a walk, go eat pizza or we could just hang out at my house" they requested seeing him think what option he should pick.
"Can we just go to your house I'm not really in the mood to be around people?" he told her awkwardly seeing her expression change a bit.
"What am I then" she questioned jokingly walking backwards nearly tripping over her own feet.
"You remind me of a goblin," Ranboo said truthfully turning her around before she had the chance to run into a tree.
"Why?"
"You're short, you collect things, you live near a forest, you even look like one of these little shits" he listed making her stop in her steps looking at him a bit offended.
"I am 5'9 you're just a giant" his eyes widened only now realizing that she wasn't actually that short as he thought.
"You're not that tall" he let out a breath which sounded like a small chuckle
They just sighed taking him by his arm pulling him with her in the direction of her house. When he started walking by himself she let go of his arm not knowing if he's comfortable with her holding his hand.
They walked out of the park him following closely behind as she showed him the way. He had never been at her house since they just met some weeks before.
When they arrived Ruby rang the doorbell footsteps coming closer to the door. A tall man with round glasses opened the door smiling at his daughter who walked in. While he just glared at Ranboo, as he followed his daughter inside.
"And who might you be young man?" the father leaned on the doorway still staring daggers at the boy next to his child.
"Dad this is Rudy and he's my friend so please calm down," she told her father calmly pulling the jacket off her body. The parent just nodded walking away glancing at Ranboo one last time.
"Sorry for him he's just a bit sceptic when I bring home people for the first time" they apologized for their father's behaviour walking down the corridor to their room.
"It's okay I get it I would be sceptic too if my daughter would bring over a 6'6 tall guy" he acknowledged following her to her room. Ruby wanted to close the door as she heard the voice of her father telling her not to.
Ranboo sat down on the floor as they sat down in front of him looking around not knowing how to start the conversation. They both tried to say something but no words were coming out of their mouths making them laugh lightly.
"Do you want to watch TV? I can order pizza too?" she asked him getting a nod as he sat down in front of her bed leaning on it.
"Which one do you want?"
"The one with cheese," he told her silently trying to explain it with his hands.
They walked out backwards going into their father's office disappearing from his sight.
"Dad could you please order pizza I'm quite hungry" her father gave her thumbs up taking out his phone. "Does your friend want pizza too?"
"Yes he wanted a Margherita and I want the usual" Robert dialled the number of the pizza place giving his daughter a quick smile as she closed his door walking to her room to see the boy looking around her room with her strawberry hat on his head.
Ruby cleared her throat catching his attention making him take off the hat quickly as if it never was on his head.
"So you know I'm gonna take off my hearing aid while watching the movie" they took out the hearing aid sitting down next to her friend.
They decided to watch COCO Ranboo trying to interact with her through sign language him failing to say some words but Ruby still understanding him.
They were nearly at the end of the movie Ruby tried to hold back his tears as she ate the pizza. Ranboo was just looking at her trying to figure out how he should comfort her. He decided to pat her back in a comforting way making her let out the tears that she was holding back this whole time.
They looked at him the boy taking his chances to talk to her.
"Are you crying because you are sad or happy?" he asked the girl in sign language as she read his lips knowing what he was saying.
"Happy. I mean look how happy coco is to finally be with her parents, she was my comfort character" Ranboo rubbed her neck as she let out more sobs and tears. Robert stood in the doorway confused why his daughter was crying furrowing his brows at him.
"We watched Coco and Coco died" her father let out a knowing noise closing the door but letting open three inches.
"I just don't understand why they just make it so sad and happy at the same time. I have like two reasons to cry first they nearly make Hector die and then they make Coco who is finally with her dad after such a long time" Ruby explained calming down a bit after realizing there wasn't any need to cry.
"It's Disney what did you expect no emotional ending I used to bawl my eyes out when I watched it for the first time" Ranboo signed trying to make her feel better which worked her letting out a small laugh.
Ruby stood up turning off the TV and bringing the empty pizza boxes in the kitchen. Her little sister was sitting there probably on call with one of her friends. He walked back seeing Ranboo taking his things ready to go home.
She told him goodbye closing the front door right after him, going to her room again. They put on their pyjamas, laid down on their bed switching off the lights ready to go to sleep.
