Stella and Ruby were in their shared room until they would both go back to England together. Ruby had been planning for a while to move in with her grandma after she finished her junior year. Her grandmother was slowly getting weaker and weaker, needing someone to help her with the household.
It was something they were looking forward to since they missed Bognor Regis dearly. But she wasn't looking forward to telling it Ranboo, knowing he wouldn't be all too happy about it.
Her father had already agreed to it thinking it was a great idea to help her grandmother but he would miss her too only living with his younger daughter.
Flora wasn't very fond of the idea of Ruby moving away without her wanting to go with her but the parent told her no every time she asked.
"Stella I think I like Ranboo" It came out of their mouth before thinking about the words again slapping a hand over their mouth.
Stella gasped standing up from the bed and doing a little happy dance out for whatever reason.
"Ruby go tell him! He's a simp, go. You can kiss then marry, have cats and die happily" Stella said listing things that came to her mind and made the most sense.
"But what if he doesn't really like me and just thinks it" confusion was written over Stella's face not knowing what the words meant.
"Don't go psychological on my brain I dropped out, work at Tesco and make fun of myself in front of thousands of people?" she told her as she sat down on the bed again.
Ruby just turned to the wall staring at it. They felt someone lay down next to them pulling them into her chest. Stella started going with her hand through his hair humming lowly. It reminded Ruby of how her mother would do that to lul her to sleep.
"Look Rue I'm sure he likes you too and it's okay if you aren't ready yet but please just tell him" Ruby sat up taking the hearing aid out of her ear putting it on her desk laying down again.
They loved how Ranboo didn't judge her because of many things and just accepted it. Honestly, it was very welcoming which made her understand how the people who enjoyed his content saw him as comfort.
He made them feel like themselves after such a long time. Always trying to hide behind the nice and innocent facade. And in the end, it was really just a mask which no one knew was there. Not even her herself.
Of course, they were nice and understand but it felt like something was missing. Anger. Anger was the thing that was missing. Every time they felt angry they just tried to focus on something other like the happiness that was left there.
She really liked him. It had been three months since they met and he had already fallen in love with Ranboo. She couldn't believe how fast she had fallen for him.
Ruby didn't even notice their eyes closing as they fell into a deep slumber thinking about the boy they loved.
Ranboo was sitting in his room doing homework while listening to music. It was the sad type of music him knowing how people on Twitter would freak out over it.
He still couldn't really believe how many people were out there supporting him watching him talk about random things that came on his mind.
A knock was heard on the door opening showing his mother who was looking at him sleepy.
"What are you still doing awake, it's three in the middle of the night go to sleep" Monica leaned on the doorframe raising her eyebrows.
"I'm doing homework can you please go I need to concentrate" the mother didn't listen sitting down next to him staring at him.
"How was the stream with Ruby and-what was her name?" she questioned
"Stella. and it was great we had a lot of fun," he told her not so happy about getting a motherly look as a response.
"Come on we both know that's not all tell me what is going on in the mind of yours" Monica looked at him waiting for a response only getting a sigh.
"I just-Ruby and Stella have so much chemistry I just felt like I was in the way of it" he tried to explain "I just felt so-what if Ruby doesn't even like me?" Monica just took a deep breath putting her hands on his shoulders.
"Have you seen how she always asks you for help or how happy she is when you walk into the room?" The woman assured him getting a nod.
"And I think you felt jealous how Ruby gave attention to Stella so much" It was true he felt jealous of it but it was just a tiny bit. Why was he even jealous?
"But why did I feel jealous of something like that, they are just friends" the parent chuckled thinking back at the time where she fell in love.
"I was feeling like that too when I fell in love with your mom. She always talked to this one boy but it turned out he saw her as a sister" she patted his cheek standing up from the chair.
"Now do your homework and go to sleep it's late" Monica walked out of the room closing the door as silently as possible.
Ranboo sighed going back to the homework turning of Spotify getting done with it.
He still didn't know if he should tell Ruby about his little crush or if he would just ignore it and move on. But if he would tell her it would be soon.
He finished the work going to get ready for bed brushing his teeth and laying down closing his eyes.
Soon enough he fell asleep at the thought of how much he hated his history teacher.
