027, chapter twenty-seven

6 months later...

Ruby was clinging to Ranboo's foot trying to stop him from going any farther in his steps. It was the day he would be going home from the UK and let's just say they didn't want that.

"Do you need to go?" she looked up at him glaring still sitting on top of his foot feeling him trying to move.

"Bee I've told you many times I need to go home" he sighed "I don't want to either believe me"

"But why are you going then? Just stay here you won't be going to school anyway and we could always visit San Francisco if you miss them all so much"

As much as he wanted to stay there with Ruby and his friends he just couldn't let his family behind without saying goodbye.

"Bee I'll visit you as often as I can and next year when Tommy is done with school I will move here anyways" he patted their head as they stood up hugging him.

"I will miss you so much and don't forget to text or call me when you arrive at home" she mumbled into his shoulder.

"Okay but you need to sleep or Tubbo will come here and won't leave until you fell asleep," he told her strictly as he kissed the top of her head.

"But what if-" he put a hand on their mouth giving them a look. Ruby pushed his hand away to continue but thought about it again.

"Okay fine I won't overthink what would happen if the plane crashed or someone ripped the mask off your face" he rolled his eyes shaking his head

"Believe no one can do that I'm too tall" he chuckled "But they could fold you in half as Stella did" he gave her a small glare as it was her turn to laugh.

"That's just not fair" Ruby took their arms from his waist putting something around their body since they would be driving the car.

He just pulled her closer by the jacket they were wearing which was actually his but it would have been either Tubbo stealing it and never giving it back or Ruby keeping it to wear also never giving it back.

"You look good in my merch," he said getting a slap on the shoulder.

"Okay dumbass we need to go or you will miss your flight" he put his arms up in defence stepping into the car the seat is too much in the front his legs are not fitting into the car. Ranboo adjusted the seat now sitting comfortably as the person started the car.

"Did you pack all your things or will I need to send them to California because you were being too much in character?" he thought back only remembering that he left a hoodie inside but nothing important so he shook his head getting a small nod from Ruby.

Amoeba was playing through the speakers of the car Ranboo smiling happily vibing to the song. Ruby quite understood his obsession with it.

Ruby would miss him. Miss waking him up every day so he wouldn't sleep the whole day. Miss going to the beach with him. Miss going out with him doing vlogs for Stella's or Tommy's channel.

Ranboo would miss waking up the first thing seeing being her tired smile. Miss going on small dates every two weeks. Miss staying up all night watching cartoons or horror movies.

It would be hard for them to not see each other daily in person now only seeing the other one virtually. Ruby's love language being touch didn't help the case much either.
