many years later... like MANY years later...

It was a sunny day in Bognor Regis as an old couple worked at a small flower shop near the beach. Like every other day, they waited for customers to walk into the shop to buy something.

As if on cue a young lady walked in nervous looking around not knowing what to buy. The old woman stood up from her chair taking her book with her as she walked over to the girl.

The girl had beautiful green eyes round glasses sitting on her nose. Her hair was light brown ending just above her shoulders.

"Honey do you need any help with picking flowers?" the lady asked getting a small nod from the girl who looked at the floor.

"So for who should the flowers be? Parents? Friend? Boyfriend? Girlfriend?"

"It's for my girlfriend" she whispered silently as if someone shouldn't hear her say it. It made the woman's heartache knowing how it felt being in love with someone who wasn't appreciated by someone.

She looked through the flowers already knowing the perfect flowers for the couple.

"I would say a small bouquet with carnations, peony's and pink tulips, how does that sound?" the girl nodded eagerly smiling at the woman.

"Rudy! Get your ass out here!" She shouted at her husband who came in stumbling as he put his glasses on.

It shocked the girl how the tune of the woman's voice changed so quickly. The man walked over looking at his wife who was explaining what he should do. He nodded then walked away again.

The lady turned back to the younger woman sitting down with her at the small desk in the shop. It looked very welcoming making her feel comfortable.

The woman stood up going to the tea kettle cooking the water she poured in. After around two minutes she was sitting at the table again with two cups of tea in front of them.

"How long have you been married?" the girl asked curiously taking a sip of the fruit tea.

"Around fifty years I think it's been a long time" she chuckled still remembering the day he proposed to her at the beach.

"Would you mind telling me how you met each other while I wait for my flowers" the lady nodded, excited to talk about how she met her soulmate?

"We were in high school and I had just moved to California. We sat next to each other in some classes getting along pretty well, so we decided to be friends" she stopped to take a sip of her tea.

"We started dating after around three months of being friends which were pretty quick I must say. We only found out about the others feelings after my best friend spilled it. Some months later I moved back here he visited for some months until I started going to school again. At some point he moved here, we married and opened this shop in our late forty's" The man walked in giving the bouquet to the woman also telling her the price which she paid.

I think you already know who we are talking about. The old couple were Ruby and their husband Ranboo who was still happily married to each other even after all the years.

They were like the sun and the moon. Her made his day better by her happy personality bringing him to laugh a lot and him being her moon who shined every night having a calming effect on her. At this point, they couldn't live without each other both being forgetful and old. And their love was still like in their teenage years.
