024, chapter twenty-four

Ruby was sitting on her bed drawing a sketch. Their friends were streaming at Ranboo's house so she had the stream in the background.

Ranboo and Stella had become closer friends since she went to visit Ruby. Not like they were mad about it. It was amusing to watch the two fight over the smallest things or Ranboo being scared of her even when she is around an foot and a half shorter than him.

Like currently they were fighting about who will play Minecraft and who will watch. They did really act like siblings most of the time.

Ruby and Ranboo had gotten a lot more closer too. Of course, because they were in a relationship but also because they took care of each other and listened to the other talk.

They planned to go on their first date this week Stella covered for them if her father asked where she was. You could say Stella was the number one shipper.

Ruby was more often seen in streams either running into Ranboo's room to bring them food or just sitting somewhere. Many stans found their social media, starting to attack them some of them sending death threats. But there were also some nice people commenting not to listen to the hate.

It was hard to have friends who had a lot of fans. They just couldn't see their favourite male content creator with a woman together.

Stella would also be going to North Carolina at the end of March visiting Karl for two weeks and then flying out to Florida to visit Patches. That's the only reason she would be going to Florida.

Ruby was so in thoughts that she didn't hear the door open and someone walk in. The person sat down at the end of the bed putting a hand on their knee.

"Rue what is going on with you the last days?" It was their father asking in a concerned voice. Ruby had been less talkative these past days concerning Robert.

"Nothing I'm just not in the mood to talk," she told him bluntly not even looking up from the drawing.

"Ruby don't lie to me, I know something is going on in that head of yours" he assumed it was something that happened in school making her feel down.

"Dad it's nothing"

"Don't lie to me" he was shouting at them, their eyes tearing up. Ruby hated loud noises.

"Fine, you want to know what is going on maybe you won't accept my only friend here who is now my boyfriend. You don't even try to do so you just hate him-why do you hate him so much?" Ruby shouted at him having enough of the whole asking

"He reminds me of myself" the father whispered looking at his daughter "When I was your age I met your mother and he just reminds me of myself how I acted"

"Sorry for shouting at you I didn't mean to" they apologised sitting down next to their parent putting their head on his shoulder

"It's okay sometimes you just need to shout at someone to feel better" he patted her head as she let out small sobs.

"I miss mum" they whispered looking up at their father seeing tears in his eyes. He still loved Claire and it had been nearly ten years since she had passed. He would never stop loving her.

He loved everything about her the way she talked, she smiled, she cared for people and everything living. He thought she had a beautiful accent as she was from Scotland. You could say it was love at first sight.

"Are you still going out with Kate?" Robert shook his head. It was true he stopped going out with her after he didn't feel the feeling in his stomach and after he overheard her talking bad about his daughters.

"She wasn't the one" he stated "Your mother once told me 'If I die please go on dates and take care of our children' kind of ironic how she really passed away" he tried to play it off but the sadness in his voice was still there.

"So you aren't mad at me for dating Ran?"

"Wait what? you didn't say that" he murmured confused look on his face.

"I did say that you just didn't listen" Ruby started taking her head off his shoulder looking at him madly.

"Fine I'm not mad as long as he doesn't break your heart or makes you pregnant before you are both adults"

"Dad I'm asexual there won't be any children" they assured him calmly. Ruby couldn't imagine pressing a whole child out of her or even having the deed with someone.

"That's even better" he sighed "I'll order Chinese food you can call Stella if she wants some-and call the other one too"

Ruby took his phone from under the blanket going through his contacts searching for Ranboo's number since Stella had forgotten her phone here.

"Hey Bee what is it I'm streaming," he asked closing the door after him.

"My dad is ordering Chinese food do you want anything?-and ask Stella too"

"I want chicken," he told her bluntly "Stella, Ruby is ordering Chinese food what do you want to eat" he shouted putting the phone to his chest

"Fried Shrimps and Spring Rolls" Ruby nodded writing it down on a piece of paper.

"Okay bye, Ranboo call me when you are done streaming" Ruby ended the call running to her father to give him their orders.

"And what do you want to eat?"

"The chicken with sesame on top you know what I mean right" Robert nodded walking into her sisters' room to ask her what she wants to order.

After twenty minutes Ranboo and Stella arrived Ranboo was confused why the man didn't glare or threaten him.

"Bee what is going on with your dad and why is he not glaring at me?" he asked talking about the man who was not fazed about his presence.

"He knows"

"Oh shit I'm going to die, tell my moms I love them and tell Toby he's the best friend I ever had" Ruby started giggling hugging him as her father glared at the boy.

Teg doorbell rang Ruby went to open it leaving him alone with Robert in a room.

"I'm not trying to kill you only because Ruby likes you a lot but if you break hee heart you are" he held a finger gun into his head shooting it. Ranboo just nervously chuckled starting to pray silently.
